Job Role : Internal Communications SeniorSpecialist (Port Area)

JobDescription :

Develop communications activitiesintended to establish ongoing channel of communications across AbuDhabi Ports and its businesses (KIZAD, Maqta Gateway, CruiseTerminal, Safeen, Logistics)

Work closely with theInternal Communications Manager to conduct annual internalcommunications initiatives that involve and engage all employeesacross the entire organisation and the multiple businesses

Create internal communications material and ensure allemployees are kept informed, engaged and motivated through bestpractice internal communications activities corporate messages,internal circulars, onsite bulletins, regular newsletters, staffintranet, townhalls and various employee events

Collatefeedback on conducted internal communications campaigns, activitiesand organise surveys and focus groups to derive key insights andreport to the Internal Communications Manager

Overseeprocurement requisitions and ensure cost transactions and recordsof internal communications activities are maintained

Work with contracted communications agencies or embeddedconsultants to deliver internal communications activities

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop internal communications activities and ensurerelaying the vision, goals and values across the organisation andfor its multiple businesses through clear, consistent andinformative corporate messages
  • Deliverinternal communications annual campaigns and activities (workingclosely with the wider CMC team) to
  • oTranslate the organisationalbusinesses vision, goals and valuesacross all internal communications mediums
  • oBuild employee engagement
  • o Foster anorganisational culture of open, transparent and responsivecommunication
  • o Protect the reputation of theorganisation and its multiple businesses
  • Work closely with the wider CMC team tocreate synchronised campaigns and activities for the organisationand its multiple businesses
  • Formulate fromend-to-end project plans for internal communications campaigns andcorporate employee events
  • Align with theOperations & Planning function, internal CMC team andexternal teams to establish clear milestones, outline deliverables,responsibilities and budgets
  • Work with thecontracted providers to deliver internal communications programmesand activities
  • o Develop or review contentproduced by the contracted communications agencies (iepresentations, newsletter, announcements, speeches, etc)
  • o Monitor key developments across the organisation toannounce clear and up-to-date communications
  • oFollow the defined crisis management protocols to manage andprotect the reputation of Abu Dhabi Ports or itsbusinesses
  • o Ensure that all internalcommunications messages are aligned with external messages (ie keymessages, company narratives, tone of voice)
  • oCreate internal communications surveys, organises focus groups andcollate insightslearnings to report to the Internal CommunicationsManager
  • Create orreview messages and speeches for senior leadership (in written orspoken form) for presentation to employees
  • Prepare presentations for organisationalevents
  • Responsible for reporting on budgetspend against assigned projects
  • Prepare andmaintain briefs, information, developed assets, approvals andreports pertaining to assigned projects
  • Oversee distribution and storage of assets produced forinternal communications
  • Follow the setprocesses (for briefing, communicating projects and deliverablesupdates and reporting) as set by the Corporate MarketingDepartment
  • TechnicalCompetencies

  • Knowledge of creatinginternal communications messages and material
  • Experience in organising internal communicationsactivities campaigns, townhalls, team building initiatives,employee events, staff communications and intranet, etc
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English)and proficiency in Arabic is a must
  • Strongcopywriting, presentation and reporting skills
  • Basic project management ability andskills

  • 3-5 years of experience that includes working within aninternal communication departmentunitteam
  • Internal corporate communications and employeerelations
  • Account managerassociate (combinedagency and or client) experience
  • Understandand support the strategic objectives
  • Translateorganisation and business vision and strategies throughbest-in-class internal communications and deliver as perSLAs
  • Work with the internal communicationsteam to meet agreed objectives
