Job Description
Job Role : INTERNATIONAL TRADE COMPLIANCE SYSTEMS SPECIALIST
Overall Purpose of the Role
The ITC Systems Champion will be responsible for ensuring Emerson MEA's business software systems are properly aligned to support and give effect to all relevant trade compliance requirements.
The ITC Systems Champion will play a key role throughout the tenure of new software projects, providing support and input during the discovery phase and providing hands-on training and functional trouble-shooting support during implementation and thereafter.
The ITC Systems Champion will report directly to the ITC Senior Manager who is also based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
What will be my responsibilities in this role?
Evaluate new and existing software for import and export compliance requirements
Participate in and lead discussions on desired system changes and evaluate impact to WA sites
Coach, train and work with each user and site for successful implementation
Research and advise on regulatory requirements and document requirements for developing country policies
Facilitate testing sessions and lead ITC troubleshooting and resolution upon implementation
Organize planning for escalation processes
Coordinate setup discussions with Technical Team
Monitor business readiness with stage gate timelines
Work with Centralized Testing Services (CTS) to assist with testing
Evaluate local policies and procedures to make sure consistently updated to align with systems and assist in writing new standards and solutions to support MEA unique solutions
Hands on functional support for users on hold management to ensure orders and shipments can progress and ship
Hands on data management in various systems
BI report analysis to determine trends and resolution
Work with production users to communicate and test any system changes on a regular basis and lead management of any content review and updates (regulatory updates)
What do I need to be considered for this role?
To be considered for this role you should be qualified to a bachelor's degree level and have previous working knowledge of some of the following systems,JD Edwards (JDE),Oracle User Productivity Kit (UPK),Amber Road, andTradeSphere Exporter.
The successful candidate should also have a fluent command of the English language, both oral and written.
Candidates who possess French and / or Arabic skills are highly encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate should also have working knowledge of import and export regulations and requirements for MEA
