Duties and Responsibilities
Receive payment by cash, credit cards, and cheques.
Regularly check the reservation book for next guest reservations
Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.
Following the company SOP on finalizing a bill and following the correct procedure.
Calculate total payments received during a time period, and reconcile this with total sales.
Compute and record totals of transactions.
Issue receipts, or change due to customers.
Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
Welcome customers entering the establishments.
Ensure that everything guests will be needing is in order and clean, and all station set up is full before service.
Answering the phone in a professional manner and taking guest bookings, in an accurate way obtaining all information.
Welcoming all guests that enter the venue, and inform them of all offerings and manage their expectations.
Inform the Duty manager of the reservations, including any special requirements.
Ensure the seating plan is ready for the shifts, and the table layouts are in the correct formation.
