Responsibilitiesfor set-up, mixing of drinks, service and clean-up for catering bar functions.In so doing, is expected to direct all effort toward guest satisfaction, theachievement / maintenance of division standards, and profit maximization.

The followingare specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successfulperformance of the position :
Punchin, as schedule, ready to work and according to Grooming Standards.
Checkfor captain for required set up and type of service assignment.
Havebar set up ready to go 15 minutes before function is schedules to start.
Thisinvolves : An adequate supply of following (to last through the duration of thefunction, if possible). Ice, water, mixer, all ingredients necessary forpreparing drinks.
Glasses, garnishes, napkin and side towel. Matches / ashtrayscigarettes.
Performcashier duties, if required. This involves handling tickets and cash as perMarriott International Food and Beverage SOP.
Prepareand served drinks as per Marriott standards, policies procedures using a jiggeras all times.
Neverleave your bar during a function unless properly relieved by another bartenderor the captain / maitre d
Atall times the bar area should be maintained in a clean and organized condition.Practice clean as you go .
Afterfunction is over and guest have left the room, breakdown and thoroughly cleanthe bar.
Ensurethe proper storage of liquor, fruit and equipment, all liquor to be secure.
Tocomply with all local laws and regulations.
Toreport issues or requirements to the supervisors.
Whenrequested, is ready to work as a waiter / waitress as well.
Tohave a clean uniform and impeccable personal grooming in compliance withcompany standards.
Tobe at the assigned work area, in uniform, and ready to work at the time that isscheduled.
Thewaiter / waitress will be responsible for these set up, bussing and clean up ofall the following table service necessities as well as the proper storage ofthis equipment in its proper place after use in the room (to put things in theproper place).
AllEvent Operations bartenders will be required to completely familiarize himselfwith the location of each of the function rooms and related areas and thevarious workable types of set up to include the following : school style,theatre style, conference style, U-
Shape, Hollow square, Hollow rectangle,Banquet style, T-Shape, E-Shape, Different types of buffet set up, CoffeeTrolley.
Setup, service, breakdown and vacuuming of all department functions to include : meetings, breakfast, lunch, dinner, receptions, banquet hall cleaners,dances / concerts, exhibits, general cleaning of all area and vacuum, outdoorcatering.
Setup and handle tables, i.e. rounds, rectangles, ovals, schoolroom etc.
Thewaiter will be totally responsible for ensuring that each service piece oflinen china, glass and silverware is spotless before it is placed on a table,and that each table is set up uniformly.
Eachwaiter will be responsible for attending menu class before each of theirdesignated function with the supervisor / managers in able to obtain better foodand beverage knowledge.
Tointroduce one’s self to the guest on one’s station and project a warm cheerful,enthusiastic desire to be of service.
Towear a name tag as part of the proper uniform, as well as no excessive jewelryto be worn while working.
Tocomply with all safety regulations and company policies as outlined in theEmployee’s handbook.
Toassist customer whenever possible /
Toattend meetings when scheduled.
Becometotally familiar with how to read a Banquet Event Order (BEO) and how to set aroom from that order.
Toperform all other reasonable as requested by the management.
Toensure that all props after each function is store back in the designated areaand handles with great care.
Toensure that all bar equipments, fixture and furniture are handled with greatcare.
Tocreate a good working relationship with co-workers and maintain a courteousattitude towards the management and all the employees and guests of the hotel.
Tobring any problems that may occur or any special requests by guests to theirsupervisor’s attention as soon as possible.
Toprovide the best possible proper service of guests of this hotel at alltimes.
Topractice constantly the Clean as you go policy to uphold the highest sanitationstandards.
Safety and Security :
Reportwork related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence tomanager / supervisor.
Followcompany and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure aclean, safe, and secure environment.
NotifyLoss Prevention / Security of any guest reports of theft.

Assistother employees to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service.
Anticipateguests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to betterunderstand their needs and watching / listening to guest preferences and actingon them whenever possible.
Addressguests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
Engageguests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and areaattractions / offerings.
Thankguests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell.
Welcomeand acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendlyverbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible.
Supplyguests / residents with directions and information regarding property amenities,services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities.
Answertelephones using appropriate etiquette including answering the phone within 3rings, answering with a smile in one's voice, using the callers' name,transferring calls to appropriate person / department, requesting permissionbefore placing the caller on hold, taking and relaying messages, and allowingthe caller to end the call.
