Accomplish the general coordination of the installation works on site. Dubai (UAE). The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing the finances for the construction of the museograhy project, carrying out all commercial duties including agreeing with contracting partners '
agreed maximum prices', valuing variations, processing valuation payments and agreeing final accounts to ensure successful delivery of the museography project with internal and external contracting partners and within the planned work programs .
Site measurements, take off quantities, analysis of rates and the preparation of Bill of Quantities including contract conditions, specifications, tender documents and cost estimates in previous duties.
Issue interim payment certificates and final payment certificates for major contractor and consultants.
Assess cost effects when changes to the project occur, such as delays, and agree on 'variation' with contractors.
Carry out construction project valuations and certification duties
Deal with 'Open Book' accounting on construction projects and with interim and final accounts with contractors, suppliers and consultants including the resolution of contractual claims and settlement of contracts.
Carry out regular reviews of all schedules of rates to ensure their continued relevance and produce trend information on usage of rates.
Undertake analysis of the performance of suppliers and contractors during the contract stage and following contract completion.
Check compliance with contract terms and conditions and legal and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and maintain progress and information charts / documents as required. Plan costs to help the design team stay within the project budget using practical solutions (value engineering).
Assisting the Construction Management to support the performance management framework and monitor the status of relevant performance measures in relation to financial management.
Comply with Health and Safety requirements, particularly with regards to lone working and ensuring own safety.
Assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyor to prepare, profile, monitor and manage budgets for all construction related activities
Carry out financial checks on completed job cards as required, and check compliance with APDs policies and procedures.
Work experience :
15-year experience in international projects.
5-year experience in Middle East.
Fully conversant with the local general condition of contract and standard method of measurement.
Cost engineer or equivalent.
Professional skills :
Fluent in English (B2 or C1 level). Arabic would be an asset.
Wide experience in multidisciplinary teams and suppliers management.
Communication skills, leadership and teamwork.
