This is the opportunity tobe a key driver of success & change within the Digital 2020program. Your role as the Release Train Engineer (RTE) follows theservant leader principles and acts as a coach for the Agile ReleaseTrain (ART).

The RTE’s major responsibilities will be to facilitatethe ART events and processes and assist the teams indelivering value.

Ensuring communication with senior stakeholders,escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentlessimprovement.

KeyResponsibilities

  • Manageand optimize the flow of value through the ART and SolutionTrain using various tools, such as the Program and SolutionKanbans and other informationradiators
  • Establish and communicate the annualcalendars for Iterations and Program Increments(PIs)
  • Facilitate PI Planning readiness byfostering a Continuous Exploration process which drives thesynthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, andthrough Pre-
  • and Post-PI Planningmeetings

  • Facilitate the PI planning eventSummarize Team PI Objectives into Program PIObjectives (the RTE) and publish them for visibility andtransparency Summarize program PI objectives into Solution PIObjectives (the STE) and publish them for visibility andtransparency
  • Assist tracking the execution offeatures and capabilities
  • Facilitate periodicsynchronization meetings, including the ART sync at the ProgramLevel and the value stream sync for SolutionTrains
  • Assist with economic decision-making byfacilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and theroll-up to Epics, where necessary
  • Coachleaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices andmindsets
  • Help manage risks and dependenciesEscalate and track impediments
  • Provide input onresourcing to address criticalbottlenecks
  • Encourage collaboration betweenteams and System and SolutionArchitects / Engineering
  • Work with Product andSolution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders tohelp ensure strategy and executionalignment
  • Improve the flow of value throughvalue streams by improving and assessing the DevOps and Release onDemand competency
  • Help drive the Lean UserExperience (UX) innovation cycle
  • Work with theAgile Program Management Office (APMO) on program execution andoperational excellence
  • Understand andoperate within Lean Budgets and ensure adherence toGuardrails Facilitate System Demos and SolutionDemos
  • Drive relentless improvement via Inspectand Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART andSolution Train and help them improve
  • FosterCommunities of Practice and the use of engineering and Built-InQuality practices
  • Education&Experience

  • MinimumBachelor degree or equivalent; Master’s Degree preferred (MBA, MA,MSc) is desirable
  • At least 5+ years in the roleof Sr Scrum Master / Digital Program Manager / Sr ProgramManager
  • Certified in Agile / Scrum / SAFe andwaterfall methodologies
  • Expert in SDLC tools(e.g. Jira, Rational etc)
  • Experience in leadingmatrix organizational structures and cross-geographieslocations
  • Demonstrated hands on leadership oflarge scale process development / improvementinitiatives
  • Additional certifications and / ortraining in Change Management, Process Improvement (e.g. Lean SixSigma), and Innovation (e.g. DesignThinking)
  • Experience with and understandingconcepts of Organizational ChangeManagement
