The Project Manager (Design Transport Planning & Traffic Engineering) leads the development of traffic demand analyses and forecasts, transportation master plan studies, traffic impact studies, road safety assessments, etc.
He / she is the main counterpart of Project Managers and a key support in client interactions. He works closely with Project Managers for the review and validation of deliverables and ensures the proper implementation of all client requirements.
The jobholder supports the Project Manager with budget, schedule, client, technical and quality management activities on projects.
He / she shall stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the transport planning and traffic engineering field and represent the firm in the professional engineering community, as needed.
Ensure responsibilities are fulfilled with a high quality and in a cost effective manner
Support Project Managers with the management of client relations and expectations, as needed
Support Project Managers in client presentations and workshops, as needed
Support Project Managers with responding to client clarifications and technical issues, as needed Ensure client satisfaction with transport planning and traffic engineering deliverables
Support, review and provide expert input on project data collection to the project team, as needed
Guide the project team in developing traffic models, network simulations and adapt models to client requirements
Guide the project team in calculating trip generation, developing origin-destination matrices and calculating and analyzing traffic volumes
Prepare drawings, including circulation and parking plans, signage etc. for projects of high complexity
Prepare transportation and traffic impact studies reports for projects of high complexity
Validate and review transport and traffic impact studies with clients and authorities for projects of high complexity
Support Project Managers in managing project budgets, resource allocation and project schedules, as needed
Support Project Managers in developing, reviewing and updating work programs and man-hour estimates and in managing changes in project scope, schedule or budgets, as needed
Support Project Managers in managing project contractual risks, as needed
Support Project Managers in managing external suppliers and subcontracts and in ensuring the adherence of their deliverables with the project scope, schedule and budget
Assist Project Managers in monitoring and managing the projects budget and schedule, as needed
Provide support to Project Managers in developing periodic progress reports, as needed
Assist Project Managers with implementing quality control policies and procedures on deliverables and conduct peer review on team members deliverables Perform peer review on other teams design deliverables
Upload relevant sanitized transport planning and traffic engineering deliverables in the knowledge management repository as per corporate policies and procedures Attend periodic training to further develop relevant skills
