The Responsibilities The College seeks candidates at the Professor level. The College is seeking dynamic individuals who can provide expertise and leadership in the Media Production and Storytelling concentration.
We seek candidates with innovative ideas who will be able to teach digital media, innovative journalism, media writing, visual storytelling, video and audio production, media history, media criticism, and digital and multi-platform storytelling.
The College also has a growing student media initiative, including a student film festival. Candidates would be expected to be qualified to support these activities.
The position also requires the successful applicant to handle student advising, course development, to serve on College-wide committees, conduct scholarly activities, including research and / or creative endeavors.
The Requirements All candidates for this position are expected to have a record of previous teaching experience that meets international standards, as well as professional experience and / or scholarly / creative activities in the area of emphasis.
Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate the ability to teach, conduct research and / or engage in creative activity and participate in interdisciplinary College efforts in addition to their specific areas of specialization.
Applicants for the rank of Professor must have a terminal degree (MFA / PhD) with a specialization in Media, Film, Broadcasting, or Journalism from a QS ranked university.
The following doctorate is particularly desirable, Doctorate in Media Studies. Professional media experience is desirable, including broadcasting and studio work, as well as a proven track record of excellence in teaching.
In addition, a comprehensive creative portfolio / established track-record of publications in Scopus listed or ranked journals is desired.
Candidates are expected to be effective teachers / scholars and are expected to teach in both the undergraduate and graduate programs and be involved in outreach efforts to the community.
