Job Description

As the Vice President of Creative and Content, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of a large in-house team on the ALSAC / ST.

Jude Campus in Memphis, TN. Creating the majority of all creative and content for an iconic brand that values storytelling as its greatest strength to unite the world behind its mission.

Will oversee all content creation, curation, production, distribution, and strategy within Creative & Content that supports ALSAC and St.

Jude Children’s Research Hospital brand awareness and fundraising efforts and lead us into the next generation of content.

Reports to the SVP Creative & Content. Collaborates closely with other senior leadership within Marketing and Development to ensure audience-led content strategies and deliverables are aligned with key organizational priorities and tied directly to revenue.

The central focus of this role is the continued elevation of storytelling as a brand differentiator that drives growth in donor acquisition, activation and cultivation and draws diverse new donors to our mission.

  • Requires thorough knowledge of audience engagement, content creation, distribution and curation processes and best practices.
  • Requires thorough knowledge of the process for synchronizing content creation, distribution and curation to support overall strategic plan tenets and organizational business imperatives.
  • Requires thorough knowledge of overall general business and personnel management methods.
  • Requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skillset.
  • Requires experience in market and competitive analysis in revenue forecasting / budgeting experience.
  • Requires ability to multitask and work effectively under tight time constraints
  • Must possess strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.
  • Requires detailed knowledge of all mediums of external communications and tools used in those mediums.
  • Must possess knowledge of industry trends, including digital tools, to enhance external communications efforts
  • Must understand and have experience developing broad external engagement campaigns, initiatives, and programs with measurable results.
  • Must have experience delivering results at the enterprise level of an organization
  • Bachelor's degree required and 10 years of experience in leading content management operations, including 5 years of supervisory experience involving budgeting, strategic planning, organizational development, and cost control required.
  • Journalism and newsroom management experience is a plus but not required.
