    About the Job :

    An exciting opportunity hasarisen for a highly motivated Chef de Cuisine to join Junsui Restaurant at the Burj Al Arab.Your key duties will include :

  • Ensures proper daily preparation of menuitems with the kitchen stations to exceed guest satisfaction and expectation.
  • To instruct on the correct usage of kitchenequipment and machinery and to checkthat this is carried out in the correct manner by all Kitchen colleagues as setout by the health & safety regulations and correct the usage if necessary.
  • To complete material checklist e.g.mise-en-place within own department.
  • To daily check each section in owndepartment to ensure work has been carried out in the proper manner.
  • Follows up daily with Sous Chef whooversees the production operations.
  • To plan and complete rosters on a 2 weeklybasis and to review on a daily basis with the Executive Chef / ExecutiveSous-
  • Chef, overtime, rosters and holiday requirements and absenteeism.

    About You :

    In order to be considered for this role,you will have gained secondary school / university and or management certificateprogram.

    You will have at least 2 years'experience as Chef de Cuisine in a 5 star hotel. You must be very knowledgeable in authentic regional Asian cuisines from Japan, China, Korea, Indonesia and Thailand.

    This is a very "hands on" and demanding position so it is paramountthat you work well in a team but are also able to set standards and lead byexample at all times.

    You must becomfortable working under pressure.

    You will have strong written and verbalEnglish skills as well as a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office asstrong communication skills are required.
