As aCommis II you are responsible for the daily food preparation andduties assigned to meet the set standard and qualities whereby yourrole will include key responsibilities such as :
Support the Demi Chef de Partie or Commis I in the dailyoperation and work
Work according to the menuspecifications by the Chef de Partie
Keep work area atall times in hygienic conditions according to the rules set by thehotel
Control food stock and food cost in hissection
Prepare the daily mis-en-place and foodproduction in different sections of the main kitchen orsatellites
Follow the instructions and recommendationsfrom the immediate Superiors to complete the daily tasks
Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in thedaily preparation and keep up to date with the new products,recipes and preparation techniques
Coordinate andparticipate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness,wastage and cost control Skills
Education, Qualifications &Experiences
You should havea professional kitchen apprenticeship or chefs training course andprevious experiences in quality establishments along with goodculinary skills.
The ability to communicate in English and a proventrack of food preparation, presentation and preservation knowledgeis an essential.
