Purpose and Scope of Position :

Job Summary)

To maintain the image and reputation of the first Bvlgari Yacht Club Dubai as the benchmark and leading yacht club in the region, through continual monitoring of the competition and continual review of service standards in the Restaurants.

The DOYCR will be responsible for the Yacht Club Restaurant, Yacht Club Pool & Bar and Members Lounge.

1. Main Duties : Job Related Duties)

  • To make the Yacht Club a second home for all members using the facilities with exceptional customer service from all departments.
  • Drive membership sales for the club.
  • Oversee Marina operations.
  • Work alongside Director of Yacht Club Restaurants to push revenue for the yacht club.
  • PR and marketing for the club.
  • Manage recipricol agreements with other highend clubs around the world.
  • Responsible for budgets of marina and memberships within the business unit.
  • Sales :

  • Sales of Marina berths to yacht owners.
  • Sales of Memberships to External guests.
  • General up selling of the Yacht Club and the Resort.
  • Targeted on performance on sales of Yacht Club.
  • PR and Events :

  • Proactively organizing and managing the events schedule and itinerary.
  • Actively looking for opportunities and new ways to promote the Marina and Memberships.
  • Assist with collaterals and promotions.
  • Manage related social media
  • Budgets.

  • To study market trends, and to liaise with the financial controller on the years performances through quarterly P+L meetings.
  • To discus the following years budgets and to identify where there is growth potential.

  • To drive the team to achieve the months targets, to identify the following month’s workloads and through discussion with the marina manager and restaurant manager to achieve targets year round.
  • To identify the following year’s capital expenditure and to produce these on request and highlight those profit generating items of simple item replacements.
  • Staff.

  • To manage a team of multi national individuals and to highlight those who show strength and willing, to enable those to be put forward for internal promotions or increases.
  • To study budgets and to put forward new head counts for the following year and identify salary increases where necessary.
  • To locate new staff through either local or international press. To interview and identify those who would best benefit the department.
  • To work closely with the in house HR team in any aspect of staff finding, visa’s, salaries, terminations, head counts etc.
  • Other areas.

  • To work closely with the other department heads to ensure that the Yacht Club fits in and runs smoothly along side the other departments and profit centers.
  • To work closely with the hotel to ensure quality marina lifestyle and environments are achieved and kept.
  • 2. Ancillary Duties :

    In line with the Club’s strive for continuous improvement, you may be requested to participate in various extra activities contributing towards individuals and organizational growth.

    Represent the department or a group in various committees, such as the TakeCare Committee, Green Theme (environmental), Food Committee, Sport Committee or projects.

    Be trained as a Fire Marshall or First Aider.

    4. IT Security Awareness :

    1. Read, Understand and comply with all applicable Information Security Policies and Procedures of wasl.

    2. Co-operate, co-ordinate and share information with Internal / External Audit teams as appropriate and applicable.

    3. Attend Information Security Awareness sessions conducted by the IT Department.

    4. All Information Security breaches, events, weaknesses, incidents (actual or suspected breaches) shall be immediately reported to the IT Service Desk.
