Data Analyst should be able to do four types of dataanalytics build on each other to bring increasing value to anorganization.
Descriptive analytics : It examines what happened in thepast : It helps organization to spot trends.
Diagnostic analytics : It considers why something happenedby comparing descriptive data sets to identify dependencies andpatterns.
This helps an organization determine the cause of apositive or negative outcome.
Predictiveanalytics : It seeks to determine likely outcomes by detectingtendencies in descriptive and diagnostic analyses.
This allows anorganization to take proactive action like reaching outto a customer / supplier who is unlikely to renew a contract / businessterms, for example.
Prescriptive analytics : Itattempts to identify what business action to take. While this typeof analysis brings significant value in the ability to addresspotential problems or stay ahead of industry trends.
To execute the aboveresponsibilities, Data Analyst should be able to do :
Designingand maintaining data systems and databases.
Mining data from various sources, internal &external, then reorganizing said data in a format that can beeasily understandable.
Using statistical toolsto interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends andpatterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictiveanalytics efforts.
Demonstrating thesignificance of trends that may impact the organization.
Preparing advanced reports for TOP MANAGEMENT thateffectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions usingrelevant data.
Collaborating with TEAM toidentify opportunities for the improvements.
Creating appropriate documentation that allowsstakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis processand duplicate or replicate the analysis, if necessary.
The Data Analyst shall be working,initially, with close coordination with overseas head office andthe tea department to streamline the various advanced reporting andprediction system to enable business leaders to take certaindecisions on the auctions and the sales and marketingareas.
Proventrack record with at least 05years’ experience as Data Analyst, with FMCGMNCs.
Knowledge about theprocesses of Tea Industry, which includes the Tea (Garden)Auctions, Tea Tasting operations, sales & marketing trenddesirable.
Master’sDegree in Data Science or Data Analytics OR MBA in Mathematics,Statistics, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or ComputerScience.
Age bracket : 25 35 years old
Technical skillsinclude knowledge of database languagessuch as SQL, R, or Python ;spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel orGoogle Sheets ;
and data visualization software suchas Tableau orQlik .
Mathematical andstatistical skills are also valuable to help gather, measure,organize, and analyze data. With working Experienceon MS Dynamics .
Must be dynamic scrupulously vigilant to details, andable to multi task.
