To maintain an up-to-date understanding of trends and technical developments in the industry that effect target markets and manage the sales function of the assigned portfolio.
Participate in the development of business strategies / policies to exploit the current market demand and generate future demand for assigned product to enhance market share and profitability.
Evaluate market trends / opportunities and gather competitive information, identify trends that effect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability and implement strategies to maximize margins while increasing market share.
Develop and implement sales management practices to set the standards for sales performance.
Review and monitor sales plan implementation and results, to ensure sales budget is achieved and ensure that corrective actions are taken in a timely manner for effective business performance.
Ensure timely and proactive after sales service to all clients in order to maintain strong business relationship / trust and to secure repeated orders for any of their future expansion / acquisitions.
Explore new avenues of business such as new markets, customers, in order to expand the field of operation and enhance the volume of sales and profit.
Increase market penetration in local business by securing new customers and expanding the scope of the existing customer base.
Ensure the development and maintenance of account.
Responsible for the goal achievement, coordination of account activities, development of markets and strategies to maximize sales of assigned product portfolio.
Monitor the business environment and conduct market intelligence survey to keep track of the competitors business policy, pricing structure, discount policy etc.
so as to review / revamp own business strategies to beat the competition.
Regularly liaise with the distributors and the principal office to secure information / data on all purchase orders for the region to ensure timely delivery, installations and collection of payments.
Review regularly the outstanding debt statement and follow up to ensure collection of the credit in time and in full to avoid loss of money or provide timely litigation.
Provide timely and accurate management reports to the Manager, General Manager, Principals, etc.
Guide and motivate the team to enhance performance and produce quality work, and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher-level roles.
Prepare performance evaluation and appraisal reports of direct reports to assess subordinates’ productivity and progress and identify training needs of team members to improve efficiency and ensure conformity with standard procedures and practices.
Qualification and Experience
Education / Certification and Continued Education.
Degree in relevant branch of Engineering or equivalent Technical qualification
Years of Experience.
8 to 10 years relevant experience, with at least 4 -5 years’ experience in a managerial role.
Experience in Engineering products and project sales.
