Requirement For Completion Design Specialist (TC)
Issues and ensures the proper execution of well completion and wireline operations programs. Ensures the optimum utilization of the contracted wireline units.
Liaise with wireline contractors and assists in administering the wireline contracts. Supervises the redress of completion equipment at local work-
shops. Performs field supervision of operations described above.
Checks and confirms the wells completion programs optimizing usage of completion items and wireline operations.
Evaluates new completion and wireline techniques introduced into company's operations and assists in the technical evaluation of completion equipment enquiries whenever feasible.
Analyses and trouble-shoots completion and wireline operations problems. Recommends solutions and alternatives.
Updates the standard completions designs, the standard completion manual, the wireline manual and related equipment requirements.
Sets priorities for special investigations and studies.
Studies general drilling plans and develops required completion and wireline procedures for each well to be completed or worked over in liaison with the Drilling Engineers.
Discusses with Wireline Service Companies representatives work related problems,development and use of wireline tools, support equipment and techniques to cope with operational requirements.
Makes regular visits to wireline contractors facilities to make sure that the contractor’s equipment in good working condition.
Makes visits to suppliers workshops to supervise redress of completion equipment and local machining of equipment.
Checks to establish whether or not modifications to the completion / testing programmes are needed and takes appropriate measure / action.
Reports on present operations,notes changes and / or future requirements and advises upon necessary actions to meet the changing conditions.
Ensures availability of Wireline Service Contractors and equipment at the well site as required by the rigs.
Reviews and follows up Wireline Equipment under Drilling custody, its use, maintenance and repair.
Visits rigs to supervise running completions and wireline operations, recommends changes and / or developments in the methods and techniques used with a view to reducing cost and improving efficiency.
Drafts enquiries for the local machining of equipment, issues minor work orders and task orders for the redress of wireline and completion equipment.
Knows the Company Health, Safety and Environment Policy, Procedures, Regulations and Objectives as they relate to his / her area of responsibility.
Ensures that work under his / her control is performed in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Conducts effective accident investigation and follow up.
Implements specific Safety Management System Program activities assigned to him / her.
Performs other related or similar duties such as preparing activity reports, training subordinates, participating in the Department staff development etc.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :
B.Sc in Petroleum,Mechanical, Chemical or relevant Engineering discipline
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
At least 10 years’experience in Drilling and Workover Engineer, including four years’ experience in Drilling Planning and good knowledge of budgeting and financial matters
Good knowledge ofcomputer application
Very good knowledge in English with strong communications and interpersonal skills.

WORKCONDITION : Physical Effort
Regular walking, standing, and keyboard use for up to 70% of the work day.
50% air conditioned office
Exposed to work site weather conditions up to 50% of the time.
Exposed to noise, dirt, oil, grease, heat, fumes, etc. .
On call 24 hours a day
