During a temporary contract of 6 months, to replace a maternity leave, Guerlain is looking for a Marketing and communication Manager, in Dubai.

The mission will begin in Late December 18 / Early January 19, is based in Dubai regional office and is up to 30% work related travel

MARKETING

  • Maintain strong working relationship with Paris HQ team. Communicate regularly to outline MEA specific needs, provide feedback on launches, including category analysis with MEA-
  • specific needs (e.g., shades, claims, name, formula, competition, trends, and gaps / opportunities in product portfolio).

  • Lead, plan, and execute launch programs including : adapting launches for Middle East market.
  • Manage full 360-launch plans including : budget, visual plan, sampling, retailer specific adaptation, PR, events, media support.
  • Manage the forecast process for new product launches and POSM materials, including benchmark analysis.
  • LOCAL MARKET

  • Build marketing / trade plans and A&Ps for each market in collaboration with local Brand Managers, Commercial Team and Regional Director, ensuring consistency with the region and global strategy.
  • Clearly communicate marketing strategy and guidelines / tool boxes with distributors on a regular basis + update (periodic calls, newsletters, etc ...)
  • Present marketing strategy and innovation plan to key regional retailers.
  • Give recommendations, challenge novelty forecast (sales products & POSM) for all markets.
  • Track and analyze new launches and promotion sell out results (quantitative and qualitative)
  • RETAIL

  • Assist and organize (in conjunction with the sales team and the BMs) all "personalized counter" openings with saleable / POSM order, merchandising guidelines, special events, PR initiatives, training action plan.
  • Make sure our "personalized counter" network always stays alive and animated through clienteling, training, merchandising guidelines (for each new launch), special events.
  • Own Guerlain network : follow up retail KPIs, develop activation plan including CRM.
  • REPORTING & BUDGET

  • Monthly sales report to HQ and analyze sales & activity.
  • Coordinate budget preparation & sales data consolidation (Budget, F1, F2, 3Y plan).
  • Prepare media & PR budget (Budget, F1, F2, 3Y plan).
  • Build sales by line (Budget, F1, F2, 3Y plan).
  • Prepare budget and strategic plans presentations (Budget, F1, F2, 3Y plan).
  • ADVERTISING & MEDIA (in collaboration with PR and Media Specialist)

  • Responsible for the preparation, coordination and execution of the online and offline paid media strategy for Guerlain Middle East.
  • DIGITAL MARKETING (in collaboration with PR and Media Specialist)

  • Formulate overall digital marketing strategy for Middle East in line with the global brand marketing priorities and guidelines.
  • PR (in collaboration with PR and Media Specialist)

  • Develop launch plans and communicate PR objectives
  • Devise a plan to support star launches, corporate stories and local activities to ensure the right fit and increased visibility for the brand
  • Profil

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, MBA
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in perfumes and cosmetics or luxury
  • Fluency in English.
  • French and Arabic are a plus
  • Excellent computer skills and software skills, especially MS Office - Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership and diplomacy : able to balance collaboration and teamwork with autonomy
  • Sensitive to cultural differences with an interest in working in a multicultural environment
  • Ready to work in a small, dynamic and team environment

    The Marketing and Communication Manager reports directly to the Middle East Regional Director and is responsible for the implementation of the marketing and communications strategy within the region.
