The position of a Bartender is dedicated to exceeding expectations of both internal and external Guests to ensure the highest level of service is consistently provided.
Teamwork is the key to success in providing a warm and personal experience. The Bartender should be a host for the Guests in the Bar and provide best service while mixing the drinks, adhering to the Bar standards and also control the Beverage stock as per Hotel guidelines.
Reporting to the Outlet Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :
Report to work on time in a neatly pressed clean uniform, & name tag
Promote and maintain a positive working relationship at all times with all the Colleagues in Fairmont Dubai
Consistently offer professional, friendly and warm service
Serve the perfect glass of wine for the Guest
Make the perfect cocktail (write recipe and favor) for the Guest
Demonstrate a complete understanding of Outlet policies, procedures, and service standards
Have full knowledge of the menu, beverage lists in your outlet and all other special promotions taking place in the hotel.
Knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods.
Able to answer any Guest questions about menu items in an informative and helpful way
Always take corrective action if service errors occur, ensuring all solutions exceed the Guests expectation
Understand shift end reports, have knowledge of non-cash / cash transactions and procedures for depositing monies into safe or collecting due backs
Understand each service station and all side duties assigned to that station
Attend pre-meal briefing, weekly and monthly meetings to continually improve the Guests experience
Understand how to operate all the equipment used in the Outlet
Fully understand and follow the hotel’s recycling program and procedures
Follow all of safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
Carry out any miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as requested by your Manager pertaining to total quality service delivered in the Outlet
Foster and practice teamwork and co operation with all other positions existing in the Outlet
Attend all training sessions and be aware of any changes to menus, hotel and departmental policies and procedures, service standards as well as business trends and requirements
Fully understand and follow the hotel’s recycling program and procedures
Actively participate in all health and safety procedures of the hotel
Follow all of safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
