Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi
Organizes, coordinates, performs and controls all stewarding department activities and equipment in accordance with the standards, policies and performance guidelines established by the hotel.
He will follow meticulously sanitation procedures set by the Hygiene & Sanitation Manager and the Abu Dhabi Municipality to meet established standards and guidelines.
Works closely with culinary and service while facilitating excellent communication with both departments.
Reporting to the Chief Steward, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :
Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
To assist with the cleaning of operating equipment during banquet functions or at peak periods in back of house areas related to the outlets
To wash and polish all operating equipment and cooking utensils and examine cleanliness before distribution
To clear all used operating equipment for washing in accordance with the systems in use
To place all cleaned items in the appropriate storage areas or distribute to various outlets
To assist in the preparation of operating equipment for functions, inventories and other requirements and distribute
To wash, disinfect, degrease, dry and polish all floor surfaces, walls, kitchen equipment and other equipment before, during and after each meal service and when required
To perform other cleaning duties as instructed by the Stewarding Supervisor
To empty bins and clear and sort refuse for operating equipment according to hotel policy
To report any sightings of pests in the back of house areas to the supervisors so they may take action
Keep updated with all items on the communication board and communicate to colleagues when required.
Maintain proper grooming standards and maintain the highest possible hygiene and maintenance standards in the kitchen section
Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment
Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
1+ years experience in a similar position.
Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written).
Passion for delivering highest levels of guest service.
Has pleasant and cheerful presonality.
Ability to work long hours and shift.
Physically fit, active, flexible on the job and can deal with pressure
