These are primarily intended toguide the employee to the wide range and utmost level of workperformance. This is not an exhaustive list of all the duties andresponsibilities that may fall to the post holder but rather asub-collection of it and shall have an additional responsibilitiesif found deem appropriate.

  • Maintaining the utmost confidentiality indealing with employee records and business information.
  • Assist the Safety Manager in developing andmaintaining environmental, health and safety policies program andconducts program assessment to identify department programdeficiencies.
  • Assist the SafetyManager in conducting safety and environmental training programsand assists departments with specific training needs by locatingand scheduling outside training activities.
  • Assist the Safety Manager in coordinating andconducting work area assessment, surveys, and program evaluationsto determine the presence of hazardous conditions such as noiseexposure, chemical exposure, indoor air quality, light levels,confined space and ventilation in paint booths among others andrecommends departmental controls and / or personal protectiveequipment.
  • Assist the SafetyManager in developing fire prevention program for all employees,including building evacuation procedures.
  • Performs or assists with accidentinvestigation as needed.
  • Performsbroad analysis on hazardous conditions and assigns risk assessmentcodes for use by department to prioritize and for furthercorrective actions.
  • Assist theSafety manager in implementing and manages the company’senvironmental management system in accordance with the provisionsof the government, which includes administering waste managementcontract and coordinating hazardous and universal waste managementactivities.
  • Works withadministration of workers’ compensation program todetermine areas for increased training and emphasis on accidentprevention.
  • Provides statistical and fiscal data onworkers’ compensation injuries. Maintains complete andaccurate record as required.

  • Recommends for possible resolution on the event that it assessesnot confirming to the standard itself.
  • Assist the Safety Manager in preparing theQuality Action Plan and ensure that it addresses all the relevantmeasures to comply with standards, regulations and laws, includingHealth, Safety and Environmental aspects.
  • Provide First Aid treatment to allemployees.

    The employee is expected to carryout other reasonable job functions and additional responsibilitieswhich may be required from time to time so as to meet eachindividual objective and perform job role with utmost professionalconduct.

  • Works with Safety manager in collaboration with environmental,health and safety committees to promote safety expertise and in thedevelopment and presentation of safety trainingmaterials.
  • Conducts periodicinspection and audits of the company and properties’relative to the environmental, health and safety standards as wellas assisting managers and supervisors on its compliance.
  • Communicates recommendations to all concernedparties promptly.
  • Responsible for,and administers, the annual fire extinguisher maintenance programand the annual sprinkler system inspection and testprogram.
  • Maybe required to attendseminars and conventions in keeping an up to date issues, trendsfor the benefit of the company or may be required by law.
  • May be required to serve on various employeecommittees.
  • Monthly analysis ofaccidents reports and prepares accident analysis graph.

  • Certificate in safety management or related fieldpreferred.
  • Certificate inOccupational Health and Safety Administration or itsequivalent.
  • At least 2 yearscontinuous experience in progressively responsible safetyposition.
  • Basic First Aid Trainingor its equivalent.
  • Fire Preventionand Fire Fighting Training or its equivalent.
  • Computer literate
