Job Role : Station Manager - Subject to contract award
The Job Opportunity
Overall responsibility for the management, performance and delivery of the 24 / 7 Rescue & Firefighting Services (RFFS) provision, including but not limited to : ARFF services to designated airfield to the specified International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Category, SRFF services in response to incidents, including fire, building and facility emergencies, storms, gas leaks, burst water mains, motor vehicle accidents, hazardous materials, de-contamination tasks and training.
Assumes the role of ARFF and / or SRFF Incident Commander as required
Manages periodic tests, inspections, training, drills and exercises to ensure complete operational capability and readiness of the Rescue & Firefighting Service
Manages all disciplinary matters relating to RFFS personnel.
Manages all schedules of planned and preventative maintenance regarding RFFS vehicles, equipment and personal protective clothing.
Manages all liaison and mutual aid relationships in support of operational capability and resource.
What We Are Looking For In Our Candidates
Relevant experience in a ICAO Category six (6) airfield or above
Driving license (Heavy Vehicle) in country of origin and ability to obtain equivalent in the United Arab Emirates
Membership to a recognised fire industry professional body
Fifteen-Twenty (15-20) years’ experience in fire / rescue services including ten (10) years in a supervisory position with at least five (5) years in a management position.
Degree in a fire / rescue related subject (Desirable) or eqivalent qualification
Specialized Qualifications Applicants shall be certified competent in role and qualified to a minimum of : 111606 AIR SAFETY ADVISOR & MANAGER
NFPA Certified (1002, 1003, 472 / 1072, 1041, 1021) or equivalent firefighter certification
First Aid / Basic Life Support Certification
