The Ministry of Education is recruiting teachers that have just graduates with a degree in Computer Science (or related) or D&T.

Salary Package

In the UAE Design Technology’ is similar to primary computing in the UK. Students study the foundation of computer science from grade 3 8 in a subject called Design Technology’ Students then study Computer Science in grades 10 -11.

The qualifications for teaching both is the same, your experience and personality will decide which level you teach. You will work in government schools where for all students English is their second language, with Arabic being their first.

During this programme we will train you on the job how to teach in the UAE. The UAE teaching standards map to the UK standards with the advantage of learning in an ESL environment.

Please note that locations are given on successful completion of the course and candidates should be ready to teach in any emirate in the UAE, any gender or age level depending on how the team determine during the training.

UAE National

DT / CS Graduate Teachers are required to undertake a programme of learning which will equip them with the necessary competences to ensure the high quality of learning and teaching required by the MoE.

The programme consists of classroom taught modules, online self-study and in-classroom review and assessment. Successful engagement with the programme, including meeting all the assessment requirements is required to progress from graduate to a teacher.

Graduates must pass all modules to continue in employment.
