Head of Trade Marketing - MEA
About the Position
We have an excellent opportunity for a Head of Trade Marketing to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. You’ll be working in a high performing team, alongside peers always trying to reach the next level.
You’ll be reporting into the Head of Commercial for MENAF. Get ready for a lot of exposure to internal senior stakeholders.
Job Scope :
You will be responsible to support on the implementation of the MENA Commercial Strategy to deliver profitable share growth.
Sales Operations :
Distributor Operations Management : Redefine the company strategy by developing channel booklets with clear GTM guideline by Channel / Cluster.
Set & deliver the commercial targets for the AOP P&L & IMS through Execution Excellence on key commercial KPIs : WD, MSL, OSA, SOS, & Display Compliance.
Ensure Distributor capacity to deliver the country KPIs through training and ritual and routines meetings. Deploy the Quarterly priorities to Commercial and publish Newsletter to maximize visibility on business performance, and share and reapply business best practices.
D&A Planning with Commercial : In collaboration with RGM, conduct category promo deep dives, then based on learnings set up a clear promo plan (including price, promo, frequency, and mix) which is aligned to retailer events, inflection points, and trade terms.
Ensure the country promo plan is consistently communicated and understood to be applied across categories, channels & customers.
Set the guidelines for D&A budget & CMA thresholds to ensure corporate scale benefits and sufficiency needed to achieve objectives
Forecasting & Planning : Ensure that all Commercial initiatives are clearly communicated with Ops to harmonize demand and supply cycles and minimize effects of out of stock, and short shelf life products.
Shopper Marketing :
Country Master Booklet : Define Market Objective based on scope, and give full guidance on Portfolio, Pricing, MSL, Channel strategy, and Shelving & Merchandising Guidance based on House of Heinz concept to drive single minded focus by Market.
Develop POSM Fit For Use catalogue and ensure best in class execution across markets
Trade Category Management : Collaborate with top 3 retailers in top 3 markets to revamp full Cold Sauces aisle based on : Consumer Research, Nielsen Category Data, & Retailer Sellout.
Assist retailers with Range Reviews and Category planogramming. In addition, collaborate with the marketing team to develop Best in Class Primary Shelf Glorification & Power Claims to enhance shopper experience and drive Heinz preference on shelf.
NPD Lead : Ensure overall NPD milestones are managed by being the central point of communication between Marketing, Commercial & Finance.
Serve as a support pillar to make sure the NPDs (once ready from Marketing) are ready for commercial execution
NPD Execution with Excellence : Ensure that all innovations launched in MEA come with business incrementality. By developing engaging concept sells we ensure that both Distributors and retailers buy into our innovation and we gain their full Support on the launch.
In addition, robust bottom’s up forecasting tools will be developed by trade marketing, as well as NPD Toolkits to track innovation success, and ensure innovation is managed through PDCA methodology.
Business Intelligence :
Develop Data Platform : Update and deploy Commercial Factbook for MENA quarterly. This will be the reference point for Key Business Information such as Organizational & DB Structure, Business Results, Country Category Splits, Trade Landscape, Fundamentals, and Distributor SOD
Elevate IMS Reporting : Introduce Weekly IMS reports from Oct’19 for all markets, and start tracking daily IMS from Jan’20 to help commercial team be proactive instead of reactive
Retailer Sellout Reporting : Track retailer key trends & Heinz MS through retailer sellout data
MPR Preparation & PDCA Owner : to ensure TM is delivering on all commitments to the business
Qualifications & Skill Set :
Bachelor or Master Degree;
Possess 7-10 years’ experience in FMCG and GCC markets with exposure to Managerial capacity in Trade Marketing division
Proven record in managing trade marketing’s scope (category and channel’s planning) in complex structured environment
Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional and multi-cultural team; People Manager experience
Track record of success in managing P&L with strong financial acumen
Proven ability to identify and convert new opportunities into successful business
Strong data analytics, planning and operational excellence
Structured and Strategic Thinking
