Job Role : Internal Auditor - InstitutionalSecurities - Associate / Manager

TheAuditor’s responsibilities include but are not limitedto :

  • Evaluation of inherent risk categories andperforming risk assessments at an entity and at a processlevel
  • Helping to prepare audit-planningmemoranda
  • Identifying and evaluating key risksand contributing to establishing audit scope
  • Participating in walk-through meetings and discussionswith the purpose of developing audit test programs and identifyingcontrol issues
  • Executing audits in line withaudit test programs and within time budgets
  • Co-ordinate with auditors within the team and around theglobe on multi-region audits to ensure timely and effectivecompletion
  • Appropriately assessing potentialfindings for significance
  • Assisting withdrafting audit reports including writing clear and concise findingsand recommendations
  • Communicating auditfindings to the Internal Audit lead auditor and client managementand assisting with negotiating finalization of issues with seniorclient management
  • Tracking implementation ofrecommended processes designed to strengthen internalcontrols
  • Developing solid working relationshipwith clients and IAD business unit colleagues in theregion
  • Skills Required

  • Relevant years of experience with a professionalaccounting firm or financial institution; with a preference forthose with experience of auditing sales and trading activities and / or capital markets related products
  • Goodunderstanding of key financial industry regulationspreferred
  • Good understanding of capitalmarkets, sales and trading processes and internal controlsessential
  • Good knowledge of financialinstruments and derivative products required
  • Good Knowledge of impact of counter-party risk associatedwith derivative transactions preferred
  • Preferred comprehensive knowledge of the general risksand controls in a trade life-cycle (i.e. trade execution, capture,confirmation settlement, etc.
  • and of how business transactions areaccounted for

  • University degree (or equivalent)preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with abilityto process information quickly and assess risks andcontrols.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense ofownership and accountability
  • Ability to workunder pressure and achieve results, whilst maintaining aprofessional, friendly and client focused approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills withability to present complex and sensitive issues to seniormanagement
  • English language skills required(speaking, reading and writing at advanced level), other Europeanlanguage skills beneficial
