looking for Planning Engineer. Job Description : Prepare project schedules, production plans, procurement plans, resource plans and capacity to ensure best in class deliverable are issued.
Manage and monitor all project specific plans in order to develop and maintain company level resource, capacity, and project and execution strategies.
Planning and execution strategies from estimation stage through engineering, procurement, project management and production to support the on-
time completion of all projects. Guide production and project Engineers on development of schedules, resource charts, S-curves and progress measurement systems in line with industry best practices.
Manage the preparation of Projects Status Reports as per each project’s required reporting frequency. Prepare bar charts, networks, resource loading, histograms and S’ curves at all levels for jobs and bids to ensure timely completion of projects and effective resource utilization.
Liaise and co-ordinate with all manages to keep track of the project progress and flag an alert when exceptions and deviations occur in the project budget, actual cost and delivery schedule.
Issue weekly production planning report through consolidation of project level plans, to assess factory workload and availability of manpower for carrying out jobs in hand.
Issue weekly engineering planning report, to assess engineering workload and availability of manpower for meeting the DDR deliverables planned dates and carrying out jobs in hand.
Issue weekly procurement planning report, to assess engineering workload and availability of manpower for meeting the DDR deliverables planned dates and carrying out jobs in hand.
Proactively monitor factory operations and project progress to develop and effectively use the available resources in the yard and highlight any concerns with respect to material and resources for immediate recovery.
Provide input / support (including COR Impact Schedule) to quantity surveyors, project engineers, project managers and senior project manager during Change Order Request (COR) preparation.
Manage the completion of project delay analyses (where applicable). Compile Project-wise Monthly Cost Booking and Revenue Recognition Forecasting / Reporting.
General Recommend improvements to departmental policy and implement procedures and controls covering all areas of Operations function, so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering quality, cost effective service to customers.
Ensure compliance to all relevant QHSE procedures and controls across Operations function to guarantee employee safety, health, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products / service and a responsible environmental attitude.
Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time. Technical Requirements Knowledge on company level planning and strategy development.
Well versed with Primavera Project Planner and MS Office, Databases and Presentation Packages. Expert knowledge of Project Methodology Change and Task Management Knowledge on fabrication and shutdown Knowledge on heat exchanger industry would be an added advantage.
Key Competencies Excellent communication / Presentation skills and command of the English language, both written and spoken.
Managing / interacting with members of senior management both within the company and clients. Must be self-motivated, able to use own initiative, common sense and ability to work without constant supervision in a fast paced environment.
