Main purpose of role :
To deliver requisite IT support mechanisms , ensure high application availability and business resilience
Drive maximum value by supporting Business functions with adoption of pillar platforms, by implementing and leveraging benefits from new and existing digital systems and technologies :
Key Accountabilities :
Troubleshoot and provide solutions for day-to-day end user operational issues in all applications portfolio.
Provide technical support to teams within the organisation. Help develop and maintain up to date SOPs .
To build strong relationships with the key Business Stakeholders and SMEs, follow IT demand management process of capturing, documenting, suggesting potential alternatives if needed, prioritising and reporting on ongoing initiatives in alignment to IT policies and guidelines.
Work with Business Partners, alongside Applications Technical Delivery Teams, Software Vendors, Customers, and other relevant third parties to help IT System projects
Accountable for planning, identifying, and mitigating risk during system transitions / upgrades, and complete User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with end users.
Support end user transition throughout Go Live’.
Support management and maintaining accuracy of License and Software inventory
Support Application upgrades, deployment, and patch management support as required.
Support drive to standardise the Business Applications offering.
Support setting up and managing Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity requirements
Manage third-party Development & Operation teams for timely delivery & resolution of issues in line with SLAs.
Knowledge & Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
Understanding of Oil & Gas services & associated business processes
Strong knowledge of Systems, associated architecture, and how they are deployed
5+ years of working within professional, enterprise level IT Org & Intimate knowledge of an organisation’s IT systems.
Ability to explain complex ideas to those with limited IT and systems knowledge.
General IT Skills, relevant expertise to manage and deliver System Support.
Ability to work in a team environment and develop relationships, especially with geographically disbursed teams.
Strong problem-solving capability with proactive and logical approach.
Excellent attention to detail and good communication skills.
Technical mindset with proactive and adaptable approach.
Ability to work effectively with leadership team, stakeholders, third parties, and clients.
Proactively lead and guide all systems stakeholders to provide potential solutions to business leaders & service line directors
Able to interpret data to provide value adding management information and providing cross functional insights to improve business wide performance
Able to influence others to follow standardised systems processes and best practice
Keep abreast of market developments and proactively apply these within the business
Quick learner and have a flare to adapt to digital tools and automation requirements.
Technical skills including managing PL Sql on Oracle and MS SQL Server.
