Job Role : Manager Project Management Systems

Job Purpose

Project Management & Control Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME); reporting to the Head of Function, Project Services. Supports the Project Services discipline Heads in identifying best in class Systems and Tools to deliver successful and efficient Project Control Systems across the ADNOC Group Companies.

Accountable for implementing and rolling out Control System Guidelines, Documentation and Administration. Leading the assurance of competence and assessments of Project Control System and Administration Personnel throughout ADNOC and advising on areas for development.

Ensures adherence that ADNOC Project Control Systems are being administered and maintained throughout the Group Companies.

Establishes and leads the ADNOC Group wide Project Control Systems knowledge community. Ensures the mentoring and coaching of UAE Nationals to support Emiratisation within the discipline.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Oversee group’s overall Project Control Systems, monitor alignment with defined targets and identify deviations and risks to be reported to the Head of Functions.
  • Act as the custodian, and define detailed group-specific Project Control Systems policies, procedures, methodologies and tools in line with ADNOC guidelines and ensure their dissemination in the organization and compliance.
  • Provide technical expertise on Project Control Systems and Administration whenever required.
  • Report to the Consolidate individual project reports.
  • o Ensures accuracy, completeness, transparency and consistency of the reports / dashboard

    o Ensures reports are distributed to and understood by all stakeholders

  • Lead development of Project Control Systems competency and career development program; in addition to establishing clear deployment guidelines with the objective of ensuring having the right capability for the success of the capital delivery program.
  • General Accountabilities :


  • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective business objectives.
  • Budgets

  • Provide input for preparation of the Function / Division / Department / Section budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver business objectives.
  • Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
  • Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

  • Implement approved Function / Division / Department / Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.
  • Performance Management

  • Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Function / Division / Department / Section in line with the Company Performance framework.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
  • Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
  • Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

  • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
  • Reports

  • Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
  • Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management / Engineering / Science; or relevant disciplines with supporting experience.
  • Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • 10 years’ relevant experience in NOC's / IOC's or EPC(M) companies, including at least 2 years experience in addressing technical discipline challenges as Expert / Principal / Discipline Technical Authority.
  • Major Project Management / Engineering Experience is essential.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience of internal discipline contribution (Through publications etc)
