Develops, executes and updates business travel segments strategy for the market, action plans against existing and new target accounts to achieve and exceed sales quotas.

Identifies new accounts for acquisition through a variety of channels including Travelclick, MarRFP, etc. Converts new accounts into loyal accounts.

Attends trade shows, conferences and industry meetings. Develops strong internal / external customer relationships.

Analyses and maintains knowledge of customers, market trends and competition. Participates in regular business reviews and sales meetings.

Provides progress reports to ADOS. Monitors, collects, analyses data, and communicates all information to Business Travel team.

Supervises support staff in the planning, administration and execution of select client events and other sales and marketing promotions.

Oversees Business Travel Sales support in correspondence and communication to customers, in-house VIP guests, production reports and overall duties.

Represents Marriott International worldwide, promoting the quality image of the company at every opportunity, and uncovering additional leads for Marriott International through MI Leads


  • Manages a pre-determined number of key accounts / key prospects and other active accounts to ensure maximum yield in line with budgetary objectives.
  • Overlooks the account management of the full Business Travel segment maximum to ensure all opportunities are explored.
  • Manages and develops Business Travel team to assure targets achievement and stability of the team. Conducts LPA process with direct reports along with Assistant Director of Sales.
  • Maintains valid call objectives and relevant action plans for each key account / key prospect and ensures all follow up is executed in a timely manner.
  • Proactively prospecting new accounts and convert into producing’ accounts.
  • Takes personal responsibility to ensure that standards are maintained and that available system tools are utilized to their full capacity.
  • Maintains up-to-date activity and rate information for each account.
  • Understands and is in a position to accurately hand over any group and events enquiries to Director of EBC.
  • Attends any trade fairs as a representative of the properties, ensuring that the quality image of the Hotel is portrayed, and that every opportunity is taken to promote the hotel and Marriott International.
  • Takes personal responsibility for understanding the Sales plan and the required budgetary guidelines of the Hotel and for enabling empowered decisions in all rate negotiations.
  • Actively participates in the annual budget planning process as a support for the Assistant Director of Sales, and takes responsibility for the compilation of Special Corporate Pricing Tool, competitor rate and product information, as indicated by the Assistant Director of Sales.
  • Ensures the efficient day-to-day operation of the Business Travel team.
  • Must demonstrate high energy levels to motivate and inspire the team to focusing on providing consistently high levels of customer service.
  • Assists when needed in recruiting, directing, managing, training and coaching sales staff.
  • Additional Responsibilities

  • Conducts site inspections.
  • Creates contracts as required.
  • Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
