Job Role : Supervisor, Electrical (PP5 StartUp) Contract


  • To Discusses the maintenance schedule and thedaily plan with the Planners and Operation teams to ensure optimumuse of resources such as time, material and labour.
  • To ensure execution of scheduled preventative maintenanceand Corrective maintenance activities on large and complexequipment to ensure proper operating conditions ofCompany’s assets and adherence to internationalstandards
  • To Manage shift pool system,co-ordinate and provide technical support to shift personnel forany requirement related to job
  • To provide dayto day instructions for safe job execution
  • Tosupervise electrical maintenance jobs for the assigned plant areawith objectives to minimize failures, reduce maintenance costs,prevent production losses and improve equipment reliability& availability
  • To carry out detailedinvestigation and analysis of any electrical equipment relatedissues and initiate Failure Report (FR) for furtheractions.
  • To complete detailed TechnicalFeedback on SAP for future failure analysis
  • Toassists in root cause failure analysis with engineers, Specialistsand supervisors.
  • To attend interface meetingswith vendors and custodian departments in order to facilitateresolution of issues and promote good working relations.
  • To arrange vendors’ visits in case of plantemergency
  • To develop work instructions andcheck lists to be used on the execution of maintenance works andcontributes to the development of procedures andguidelines
  • To ensure that electrical systemson facilities can be operated in a safe and environmentally soundmanner to comply with all applicable local laws and regulations inaccordance with company guidelines and complex HSE policy andprocedures.
  • To conducts task risk assessmentand responsible for maintaining safety at work location.
  • StartupAccountability

  • Todiscuss the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up scheduleand get involved where required for critical equipment.
  • To assist in scheduled pre-commissioning, commissioningand start-up maintenance and troubleshooting maintenance activitieson large and complex equipment to ensure proper operatingconditions of Company’s assets and adherence tointernational standards as well as Borouge GeneralStandards.
  • To co-ordinate and providetechnical support to shift personnel for any requirement related tojob
  • To guide the mechanical maintenance jobsfor the assigned plant area with objectives to minimize failures,reduce pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up delays andensure equipment reliability & availability
  • To do Visual, Close and Detailed inspection of installedmechanical equipment and follow-up punch list clearance
  • To witness and approve Functional Tests, Equipment Runtests, etc.
  • To participate in Safety Auditsand Area Walk downs and to agree on acceptation list before Readyfor Start Up.
  • To review and approveprocurement of required spare parts based on equipment criticalityanalyses.
  • To receive and physically inspectdelivered spare parts
  • To Prepare MasterDatabase for all systems & assets, including CriticalityAssessment.
  • To Co-ordinate to create allFunctional Locations.
  • To develop predictive,preventive and major maintenance programs for plantequipment / systems in his plant / area to improvereliability
  • To maintain equipment files thatcontain equipment datasheet, maintenance logbook, history and anyother relevant records like calibration reports, checklistetc.
  • To attend interface meetings with ProjectTeams and custodian departments in order to facilitate resolutionof issues and promote good working relations.
  • To review and approve Mechanical Completion Dossiers forhis discipline
  • Prepare Project close out and lessons learnt report of project oncompletion.
  • To develop procedures, workinstructions and check lists to be used on the execution ofmaintenance works and contributes to the development of proceduresand guidelines
  • Document Redmark-up’ & As-Built’ review& update
  • To ensure that mechanicalequipment and systems on facilities can be operated in a safe andenvironmentally sound manner to comply with all applicable locallaws and regulations in accordance with company guidelines andcomplex HSE policy and procedures.
  • To conductand participate in task risk assessment and responsible formaintaining safety at work location.
  • Processand manage warranty claims related to his discipline incoordination with Warranty manager.
  • Acting asSection Head for short term leaves
  • Minimum Qualification As a successful candidate you willhave :

  • Two Years Diploma inInstrument / electronic / communication technicalqualification
  • Essential Language-Spoken andwritten English
  • Minimum Experience& Knowledge & Skills

  • 8 years of work experience in installation, repair,testing and maintenance of a wide range Instrumentation and controlsystems of production facilities in refinery / petrochemical / Oil& Gas industries.
  • MaintenanceExperience with HV, MV and LV motors.
  • Thoroughknowledge on electrical protection control systems.
  • Vast experience in maintenance and troubleshooting ofpower electronic equipment such as AC / DC UPS, Variable Speed Drive,Convertor and Electrical Heater.
  • Vastexperience in maintenance and troubleshooting of Switchgear / MCC,Transformer, Diesel Engine Generator and Power Factor CorrectionPanel
  • Familiar with vendor software such asSchneider PowerSuite™, ABB PCM600 and other VSDcommunication software from Leroy Somer, Ansaldo, Danfoss and SEWEuro
  • Awareness about ATEX, Hazardous AreaClassifications and its installations.
  • Thorough knowledge of HSE requirements for fieldmaintenance jobs.
  • Being able to Lead a team ofdirect hired & body shop technicians on the job,
  • Customer orientated.
  • Coaching skillsof advance level.
  • Analyzing the behaviour ofsubordinates.
  • Have excellent safety record anda stable employment track record.
  • Goodcommunication and technical report writing skills inEnglish.
  • Team working attitude inmulti-cultural, multi-national work environment.
  • Practical knowledge of CMMS systems like SAP
