Technology and Operations Risk (TOR) Division's mission is to deliver first-line defenses to manage risks to Firm technology, information and cyber threats through risk identification, control management and assurance.

This allows the business to operate and grow in a secure and legally-compliant manner.

Team Profile

The ISIMI organization, under TOR, is to create an agile, adaptable organization with the skills and expertise needed to defend against increasingly sophisticated adversaries.

This will be achieved by maintaining sound capabilities to identify and protect our assets, proactively assessing threats and vulnerabilities and detecting events, ensuring resiliency through our ability to respond to and recover from incidents and building awareness and increase vigilance while continually developing our cyber workforce.

We are looking for a talented individual to join a team of information security experts responsible for protecting Firm, client, and employee sensitive / confidential data.

The ISIMI ITIC team is responsible for identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and implementing them via automation and tooling.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic global function at our Glasgow office.

The Cyber Security Development Lead will drive the delivery of strategic cyber security platforms and be a subject matter expert and a mentor.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of cyber security developers
  • Mentor and acquire top talent for the team
  • Lead and drive innovation into the solutions adopted by the team
  • Design and build tools and automation
  • Collaborate with other teams across our Organization and work with them together on deliverables
  • Engage the Incident Response and Investigations and other teams to understand requirements and convert them into functional, high-quality software features#LI-AS2
  • Skills required

  • Experience in software development in the context of cyber security
  • Solid working mastery of one of programming languages python or java or another language
  • Leadership experience with people management in operations functions
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong verbal and written English communications skills
  • Ability to effectively host calls with senior members of the Firm, translate complex technical problems
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities, while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Flexible and self-motivator
  • Able to work under tight timeline and pressure situations
  • Skills desired

  • Knowledge of Splunk, Hive and any of the Business Intelligence products is a plus
  • Technical or information security certifications or any of Software Development Certifications#LI-AS2
