1. Project leadership
Lead implementation of continuous improvements for the project execution strategy for the local or regional project operation under the guidance of the Global Project Operations Manager.
2. Project portfolio
Ensure that the regional / local portfolio of projects is managed consistently, based on best practice and ABB Policies.
3. Instructions and guidelines
Lead and oversea the project execution team locally / regionally, and ensure that ABB Policy are consistently followed. Develop, customize and continuously improve standard process and work instructions by adopting ABB and external best practice.
Ensure that lessons learned from project execution are analyzed and conclusions are incorporated in continuous improvement actions.
4. Budget, sales and operations planning
Participate in the budgeting process, jointly with Local Division / Business Unit Manager and Controller. Participate in Sales and Operations planning with other members of the Local Division / Business Unit / Product Group management team, and takes actions to close potential gaps in project execution capacity.
5. Project execution and control
Supervise project execution and performance management through project review with management and Project Managers to ensure contract fulfillment, and approve any project deviation.
Take an active role in resolving escalated issues, especially those raised by the customer. Ensure the portfolio of projects follows good methodology and execution practice in accordance with internal standard procedure, and project are closed as per contract entered with customer.
6. Contract and claims
Ensure that project consistently apply contract and claims management, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreement.
7. Stakeholder relations
Build and maintain relationship with key internal and external stakeholders. Serve as an escalation point for individual and systemic project management issue within the project execution team.
Validate and support that adequate HSE measure are taken in the respective project operations functions and that an HSE culture is implemented and maintained in the organization.
8. People leadership and development
Ensure that the area of responsibility is structured to fit the business model, sufficiently staffed with skilled resources and directed appropriately.
Guide, motivate and develop direct and indirect reports within HR policies. Oversee competency assessments and ensures that project staff is licensed and certified appropriately.
Lead and coach the project execution team to achieve business objectives, i.e. to drive efficiency and effectiveness, improve cash flow, revenue and profitability.
Define organization of the project in coordination with the Project Manager by assigning project team members to projects based on competencies, customers and availability.
Ideally you should have Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical), MBA is an added advantage experience with minimum of 10 -
15 years of experience in Power and / or T&D industry. Middle East experience is necessary. Should have led the project team, strong customer intimacy.
You have to be more customer and business oriented, to have strong commercial and project management skills by leading virtual teams.
To manage critical and complex products and systems, to have good customer and market conditions. To also manage internal review and process.
