All departments in Information Technology Sector to coordinate the implementation of project management Vendors to provide technical specifications and recommendations and follow up on project implementationJOB PURPOSE To monitor and support the implementation of IT projects to ensure they are delivered according to approved standards and terms and that they adhere to relevant policies and procedures KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Core ResponsibilitiesPolicies and Procedures Provides recommendations for processes and action plans to support project delivery and coordination between IT departments and overall DTCM departments Monitors the implementation of policies related to IT project management and reports on any violations or areas of ambiguity IT Projects Develops project overviews and monitors actual versus planned project schedules for allocated projects Identifies barriers to project success and follows up with the relevant stakeholders or escalates the issues for resolution to keep implementation progress on track Documents IT project requirements to facilitate the implementation and control of IT projects Provides support for the design of short and long term strategies for the implementation of IT related projects Tracks project metrics and results quality to ensure that project implementation is meeting the defined performance and operational objectives Monitors the use of project resources human financial technical and its scheduling to ensure alignment with approved terms and conditions as per SLAs Identifies and measures potential risks and recommends corrective and mitigating actions to avoid or resolve contingencies Project Reports Prepares reports showing overall project progress and highlighting any important issues or developments to support managerial decisionmaking Documents all issues related to IT project management in order to facilitate the implementation and control of future projects Recommends adjustments or action plans to surmount any impediments to project delivery or quality on behalf of vendors Stakeholder Management Keeps management advised on project progress potential issues obstacles conflicts or challenges in the implementation of IT projects Project Quality Ensures the adherence of projects to approved quality standards Provides guidance and advice to other departments regarding project management processes and quality standards SelfManagement Responsibilities Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all the competencies and skills required to perform the role Keeps abreast of professional developments new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth JOB SPECIFICATIONSQualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field Master s degree is preferredPreferred Experience 47 years of relevant experience with at least 4 years in a similar roleSkills and Abilities Problem solving skills Analytical skills Time management skills Teamwork abilities Working under stress abilities Project management abilities Innovative thinking
