Job Role : Facilities Manager
AS A FACILITIES MANAGER, YOU WILL :
Manage the physical workplace of the Emerson Power & WaterSolutions headquarters campus to meet the needs of the employees,customers and support staff to enable the businesses tosuccessfully meet short and long-term growth and financialobjectives
Support customer marketing andfactory / virtual testing requirements, effectively
Develop and implement a comprehensive facility plan tomeet current and future business needs
Identify and implement cost and process improvements andopportunities, especially in regard to energy savingopportunities
Review and approve vendorinvoices for payment
Work with SupplyManagement to assemble scope of work documents, bid specifications,proposals, etc., for all contract labor and services.
Participatein the selection of contractors and manage the efforts of thesecompanies. Write and maintain purchase orders and track progresspayments for all invoices.
Recommend capitalimprovement projects that are both beneficial to the workenvironment and cost effective
Manage thereal estate leases for U.S. based properties and their annualbudgets, including tracking spending and progress throughout theyear
Assess life-cycle cost. Base majorrepairs versus replacement to ensure the lowest costsolution.
Supervise all facilitiescontractors including but not limited to : facilities maintenance,janitorial, construction, landscaping, snow and ice removal andidentify / implement effective training programs for contractoremployees
Act as a permanent member of thecompany Safety Team to effectively maintain the buildings andgrounds in a safe condition
Ensure that anycode compliance items are immediately addressed

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS :
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering,Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering
A minimum of five years of relevant facilities experience
Knowledgeable in government regulations (eg. OSHA,ADA, Ansi, ISO, NFPA, and other regulatory agencies as they applyto the facility)
Proficiency in softwareprograms / various engineering disciplines, including civil,electrical, mechanical and process
Familiarity with essential governmental codes : ADA, OSHA, NFPA,IEEE and ASHRAE
Detailed knowledge of powerconsumption.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE& SKILLS :
A Certified PlantEngineering (CPE) rating is desirable.
