Provide indoor and outdoorengineering services, as required. Inspect and diagnose malfunctioningtools, equipment, electrical systems, apparatus, and components.

Connect wiresto circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Use testing devicessuch as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.

Test batteries in generators,emergency lighting, etc. Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring,equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and current NationalElectric Code and local codes.

Respond to repair requests and performpreventative maintenance on tools and equipment, and appliances. SCOPE / BUSINESS CONTEXT + A Full Time position based at JW Marriott MarquisDubai.

  • Number of Direct Reports - 0 + Titles of Direct Reports - CANDIDATE PROFILE Experience : + Minimum 3 years of related workexperience Skills and Knowledge + Ability to Read and follow blueprints / schematics + Abilityto assemble, install, test and maintain electrical and electronic wiring,equipment & fixtures + Goodunderstanding of Electrical Code (both local and IEEE) + Demonstratedknowledge of electrical Tools and Instrumentation + Knowledgeof Lock / Tag Out Protocol, OSHA and other Electrical safety procedures + Understandingof maintenance inventory and requisition of parts and supplies as needed.
  • Abilityto verbally communicate effectively with guests and co-workers. Education or Certification + Minimum Technical, Trade orVocational Certificate / Diploma or equivalent SPECIFIC DUTIES Thefollowing are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to thesuccessful performance of the position : + Maintainhigh standard of all engineering services required for indoor and outdoormeetings and functions.
  • Attendguest complaints as well as complaints from the other departments as directed. + Participateand ensure complete success of preventive maintenance program of guest rooms,meeting rooms and function room and related areas.
  • Keepclose track of the performance of all electro mechanical equipment within thehotel and the respective working area.
  • Maintainlogged records of all equipment as directed by the electricalsupervisor / engineering manager. + Doa daily walk around the meeting room and function room to ensure good workingcondition and corrective action is taken accordingly.

  • Maintainengineering area is safe, kept clean and in an orderly manner. Keep closecoordination with other engineering staff for smooth operation.
  • Participatein departmental meetings and training etc. + Assistin energy conservation programme, follow up with banquet staff to saveelectricity and air conditioning when meetings are over.
  • Complywith hotel and corporate LSOP's and SOP's. + Toattend all safety and fire training and adhere to safety instructions at workto prevent any accidents.
  • Documentall work performed and any spares used. + Serveas an active member of hotel emergency response team. + Carryout any requests asked of you by your immediate supervisor.
