General Summary or Job Objective

To provide administrative and project support to enable company to develop a comprehensive ongoing Media strategy in line with companies strategic plan, vision, mission, values goals and objectives.

Essential Functions

  • Support in the implementation of the effective media plan including but not limited to Public Relation Activities, Mass Media Activities, Journalism, Advertisement, Commercials, Publishing and Internet.
  • Assist in the development of business opportunities for company and assist in developing a data base of potential clients
  • Assist in recruiting clients for company from the potential clients
  • Assist in developing business leads to organization and assist in follow up the clients’ media profiles
  • Assist in coordinating with project managers, event coordinators to prepare event’s media campaign
  • Monitor newspapers and provide a Press Clippings Service
  • Handle companies library (Clippings, Photos, DVDs, CDs, Tapes, Recordings, Films)
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of company Website
  • Produce press kits as directed
  • Assist in set up of Media Centre as directed, during events and projects
  • Assist in organizing press conferences or media events
  • Able to draft a press release, speech etc
  • Ensure media invites are sent and received
  • Conduct follow up calls
  • Ensure media is supplied with up-to-date information
  • Maintain a good working relationship with members of the press
  • Other Functions

  • Assist colleagues in job functions in order to meet deadlines
  • Understand organization’s full service offering
  • Is able to create and maintain a data base of relevant members of the press
  • Able to work appropriate hours to complete tasks and meet goals
  • Brainstorm with designers and / or others to come up with high quality advertisements
  • Perform other duties as may occur and as instructed by Management
  • Adhere to organization’s rules and regulations; written or implied and any changes or introductions, which may vary from time to time as deemed appropriate

  • Additional software desirable : Access, Projects and web applications
