The Department / College The Department of Life & Environmental Sciences, which is part of the College of Natural and Public Health, is an interdisciplinary department that currently offers undergraduate programs in Life & Environmental Science, Psychology and Human Services, and Public Health and Nutrition, as well as Health Care Administration (Executive Masters).
The College of Natural and Public Health (CNHS), which also houses the Department of Life & Environmental Sciences, is firmly grounded in the UAE’s determination to build a sustainable future while preserving the integrity of its traditions.
The College offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in key areas that promote the study of issues related to environmental, social, cultural and economic sustainability.
The majors in the College take a broad, multidisciplinary approach to identifying and addressing the complex, intertwined areas of modern society and its sustainable relationship to the natural environment.
CNHS students are uniquely equipped, through research and internship experience, to understand and to work at the intersections of the traditional disciplines of the cultural, social, humanitarian, political, scientific and technological fields.
The Opportunity The Department of Life & Environmental Sciences is seeking enthusiastic and experienced visiting associate professor who will be able to teach courses in Physics.
One year contract with possible renewal. The Requirements Candidates should have a PhD at the time of appointment in Physics from a recognized university, and the capacity to teach in an interdisciplinary environment.
Evidence of teaching excellence and experience is important along with a student-centered and innovative approach to teaching.
Preference will be given to those able to teach introductory courses at the undergraduate level Physics.
