AECOM is currently seeking Land Surveyor for Al Ain Location. The Land Surveyor is responsible for all aspects checking the setting out of checking of all construction activities and verification of the accuracy to defined tolerances of the constructed works.
Job Duties :
Perform survey work under the direction and guidance of the Senior Surveyor.
Establish primary horizontal and vertical control points including reference ties for re-establishing the points in the field
Record all measurements, rod readings and calculations neatly and accurately in field books as the work progresses.
Coordinate with the Contractor’s surveyor on work priorities and schedules.
Check all work by completing traverse closures and bench circuits.
Report discrepancies or technical problems to the Assistant Resident Engineer.
Perform joint measurements of the completed work or payment
Maintain equipment in proper condition and perform frequent calibration checks.
Specific Skills Required :
Familiar with different systems of surveying such as WGS 84 and Clarke 1880
Experience in Al Ain in similar projects
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience (infrastructures) in major projects with emphasis on field surveying and ability to keep surveying notes.
Previous experience with Musanada and / or Al Ain City Municipality clients is preferable.
