What youwill be doing :
Works in close cooperationwith the Kitchen, Stewarding and all other key service departments,i.e. Front Office Housekeeping, Engineering, Laundry, etc.
Attends training sessions as per instructions ofthe immediate Supervisor, i.e. guest care, telephone manners,up-selling, entering guestrooms, etc.
Worksas per Room Service duty schedule.
Ensuresthat under no circumstances the telephones are unattended andpractice impeccable telephone manners.
Performs cashier duties, if the situation calls for.
Takes reservations for other outlets during break times,if the situation requires.
Ensures her ownpleasant appearance (condition of uniforms) and grooming.
Works (hands on) with the team to prepare thedaily service mise en place.
Observes thecleanliness and maintenance of the assigned Room Service area andoperating equipment.
Assures the well-beingof all guests by maintaining a close and friendly, yet discretecontact.
Refers guest complaints directly tothe immediate person in-charge / Room Service Manager.
Directly involved in the order taking and order placingprocess while dealing with guest requests and orders, courteously,efficiently and promptly.
Attends allmeetings and briefing sessions to maintain open communicationwithin the assigned team.
Knows all menusand ongoing promotions in the outlet by heart and givesrecommendations to guests upon request.
Flexible to work in other areas when required by the immediateSupervisor.
To report any equipmentfailures / problems to the Maintenance Department.
To pass any maintenance requests to the MaintenanceDepartment.
To participate in anyTraining / Developments schemes as recommended by seniormanagement.
To have a complete understandingof and to adhere to M venpick Hotels & Resorts policyrelating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
Be familiar with all related company documentation andespecially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for thedepartment.
To carry out any otherreasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Conducts a proper handover during shift change.
