Job Purpose

The role holder will cover Destination Management (Riverland and the Resort wide ) and will be the primary gatekeeper for all HSE matters, acting in this respect to inform, guide and protect the company, its employees and other relevant stakeholders in the course of exercising plans and day to day activities.

Specifically, the role holder will be responsible for ensuring that DM has in place necessary and robust health, safety and environmental policies, systems and controls to discharge its legislative and regulatory duties, including its duty of care as an employer, will advise management team and employees of their specific HSE duties, and will provide guidance on, monitor and report on compliance with these.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The role will act as the focal point for HSE

  • Carrying out risk assessments and considering how risks could be reduced;
  • Quarterly and as and when required Risk Assessment audits for Common areas and landlord systems;
  • Risk assessment for Service Providers and monthly HSE -KPIs review;
  • Quarterly risk assessment review for Tenant Spaces and HSE compliance; Conduct Risk Assessment and requirements for People of Determination to ensure compliance Conducting trend analysis and KPI's, for risk categories;
  • Overseeing operations of third party contractors and manpower based contracts to ensure compliance. Approve permit to work procedures with operational teams within the time frames established by the company.

    Facilitating LOTO procedures to achieve compliance. Training and supervising risk assessment compliance to ensure the information, instruction, training and supervision of staff.

  • Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards;
  • Assists in the setting and implementation of relevant audit plans, and monitors follow-through corrective actions
  • Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented;
  • Making changes to working practices that are safe and comply with legislation;
  • Assisting with the implementation of standard operating procedures and update annually the processes according to legislation ;
  • Sets and maintains annual HSE Plans for DM as a whole, reporting against these on a regular basis
  • Sets and maintains leading and lagging statistical data and comparison with relevant industry benchmarks
  • Preparing health and safety strategies, review and update the HSE related section for Tenants Manuals , Fit out manuals ;
  • Standard operating procedures , Emergency Response Team updates and Crisis Management documentation

  • Assisting facilities managers in various roles to comply with local and federal legislation.
  • Issue HSE report for each incident and corrective action plan within 72h .
  • Any other duties as may be reasonably requested by the Management Team. Qualifications
  • Essentials :

  • Health and Safety Qualifications and training experience.
  • NEBOSH Qualified or Similar
  • ISO Standards : Any ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 Qualification
  • CAD Trained
  • Fire Risk Assessment trained
  • Certified compliance professional is a plus
  • Risk Assessment Experience.
  • Likely to have 2-5 years in a similar role with a Facilities management Dept.
  • Four plus years of solid health and safety experience.
  • At least four years' experience within the GCC
  • Experience in theme parks and should have held a similar post
  • Experience in large operations team and should have held a similar post. Job-Specific Skills :
