In this role, the candidate will be owning the Network Operations Service by managing diverse teams responsible for the daily performance and availability of the Bank's networks, as well as providing maintenance, upgrade and fault recovery services in a timely manner.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day network operations activities, monitoring changes and incident resolution, network design and planning to meet growing business needs and the latest industry trends.
Provide leadership to the network operations teams with a broad set of responsibilities, manage tactical and strategic activities with a focus on continuous service improvement
Operate and maintain Bank's network and assure uninterrupted availability to internal and external customers
Develop and maintain long term network operation strategies that will help enhance and achieve long term goals for the company
Carry out the supervision and delivery of networking projects
Participate in all Change Management processes including risk assessment and procedural development and review
Regularly review internal and external audits findings and make sure they are remediated within agreed timeframes
The candidate will be responsible for managing the activities of his / her teams while working in collaboration with security operations, infrastructure and security architectures, and various other internal and external teams and parties.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems Engineering or equivalent degree
Expert-level industry or vendors certifications are desired
Strongly preferred experience : supporting Banks and other financial institutions, federal agencies
5-10 years of Network Operations experience in mission critical environments with 3 years in a supervisory / management role.
Strong management and leadership skills
Extensive knowledge of enterprise the networks, software, hardware and technologies, as well as modern industry trends
Working knowledge of the ITIL or similar ITSM Framework
Must have the ability to make solid business decisions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Must display confidence in critical situations
Team player with excellent consultative and communication skills and the proven ability to work effectively with internal and external clients, vendors and consultants
