The Service Associate - In Room Dining (Waiter / Waitress) ensures that the guest is greeted and served promptly. Assist the Service Manager and his subordinates with the daily operation of In-
Room Dining. The strength and sincerity of the hotel's image should reflect at all times through a friendly, courteous manner and helpful attitude, extending beyond guest expectation.
It should be noted that the Service Associate - In Room Dining (Waiter / Waitress) can be designated in charge of any area at any time and therefore must have a full and comprehensive working knowledge of all areas within the Food and Beverage Division.
JOB & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides courteous service to guests and responds promptly to guest’s inquiries, complaints or requests.
Handles all complaints and requests immediately and ensures that guests are satisfied with the service. Requests assistance from the In-
Room Dining Service Leader / Service Manager if complaints and requests cannot be handled.
Prepares all documentation for the amenity program, highlighting VIPs and special request.
Knows how to take a private order by telephone and get appropriate information.
Deals with enquiries from Reception, Cashiers, Accounts and other departments as necessary in a professional manner.
He / she is employed by the Food and Beverage Division and as such may be assigned to any area that the Management seems suitable and necessary.
Must be attentive and willing to perform duties assigned by the Service Leader.
Legibly document maintenance needs on work orders and submit to manager.
Organise document and track pick up of dirty trays / trolleys, direct staff as required to retrieve dirty trays and trolleys.
Answer Room Service phone within 3 rings using correct salutation and telephone etiquette.
Assist and oversee Room Service staff in their jobs functions as specified in departmental standards.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organisation of all service areas.
Be familiar with all hotel services / features and local attractions / activities to respond accurately to any guest inquiry.
Take guest’ food and beverage order utilizing suggestive selling techniques and following all departmental standards.
Ensures that all equipment is used in such a way as to prevent damage.
Adheres to all rules and regulation set by Management while on duty.
Maintains a friendly, pleasant and neat image to guest.
Always checks personal hygiene and is well groomed in appearance.
Maintain complete knowledge and strictly abide to local liquor laws.
Complete preparation work in accordance to departmental standards
Follow and maintains cleaning program schedule
Operates all computer systems in accordance with the correct operating standards.
Orders all stationery and organize the office on a weekly basis.
Be environmentally friendly, reduce waste, recycle when possible and reuse whenever possible .
At least 1 years experience in a similar position in a 5* hotel
Excellent communication skills in Arabic & English (oral and written). Fluency in any other langauage is preferable
Passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service

Accountable and resilient
Familiar with Micros system
Ability to work under pressure
