Mission / Core purpose of the Job
Associate Supplier Performance & Contract mgt. will be dedicated for a particular Domain POD and will be responsible for collaborating with the legal team to develop contracts in line with the defined business requirements.
Tracking and assessing the performance of the suppliers in line with the contractual agreements and ensure suppliers are operating with the defined MTN policies.
As a member of the Flying Squad dedicated to each Domain POD collaborate cross functionally in Sprints to support the achievement of Squad outcomes and assist the Global Lead Procurement Excellence CoE in achievement of targeted
outcomes with respect to Supplier Performance and Contract reviews
Further, as a member of Supplier performance & contract management Chapter, the associate will support in identifying best practices and share expertise & deep knowledge with other chapter members for upskilling and achieve set outcomes.
Associate will have direct reporting to the Procurement Excellence CoE and matrix reporting to respective POD leader
Key Activities & Responsibilities
Develop MTN processes for Supplier performance & contract management (end-to-end i.e., Sourcing to contract retirement)
Conduct supplier ABC categorization based on turnover and relevance and classify suppliers into type (i.e., preferred, commercial, challenger, alternative)
Collaborate with Strategic Category team members and Legal to define contractual and commercial agreements, review suppliers’ feedback and arrange meetings with suppliers for clarification on GTB
Consolidate supplier issues and performance parameters to log in supplier performance systems
Review and assess supplier’s performance based on defined contractual terms and calculate penalties / discounts based on the agreed SLAs and quality metrics
Define the consequence management framework and continuously track supplier status (Green / Watchlist / Blacklist)
Monitor changes to SCM related statutory, regulatory, legal compliances and update the contract templates post review from legal team
Develop a supplier warning system based on suppliers’ financial stability or performance, monitor on periodic basis and identify measures to mitigate supplier risk
Proactively phase-out supplier & re-qualify supplier, basis quality / performance criteria and / or qualification principals after pre-defined period.
Manage and maintain the vendor master data and periodically update the VMD with updated vendor information, phased out vendors etc.
Collaborate with Opco procurement teams and consolidate the supplier feedback to prepare relevant reports on the performance levels, penalties accrued, discounts offered etc.

Act as advisor for Opcos to provide optimal terms of reference (ToR) / terms and conditions (T&Cs)
Build in depth Opco understanding and support Opcos with leading practices insights relating to the category contract management
Breakdown requirements related to assessing supplier performance and contract management into achievable outcomes and incorporate the same in the relevant sprint planning sessions
As a part of sprints, collaborate with Strategic Procurement and Category Sourcing team members to prepare relevant GFA template and ISA template for new sourcing events (RFx), in line with the agreed terms and conditions with the supplier
Actively participate in Sprint review sessions and identify areas of improvement for supplier performance and contract management.
As a part of sprint retrospective, provide inputs to ensure adequate risk mitigation measures and controls regarding the sourcing categories are in place, and all signed NDAs, GFAs and ISAs are scanned and electronically stored for future reference
As part of the Procurement Excellence CoE, run special initiatives with the Global Lead to standardize and optimize the supplier performance and contract management processes across PODs and Opco procurement teams
Attend required stand-up sessions for the respective squads & provide update on supplier performance, risks, contractual breaches etc.
Interact with Chapter members, sharing expertise and deep knowledge to support achievement of squad outcomes and upskilling

Job Requirements
Skills and Experience
Education :
Minimum 4-year Academic Degree (Business Finance / Operations Management / Legal Degree preferred)
Post graduate degree in Supply Chain Management and / or equivalent professional qualification (preferred)
Experience
3-5 years’ relevant working experience
2-3 years of relevant working experience in supplier and contract management
Experience working in reporting & analysis function (advantageous)
Understanding of emerging telecom / supply chain practices and trends
Experience working in a medium to large organization, managing Supplier Performance and Vendor Contracts
Experience working across global locations / regions and have a grasp of political, social, infrastructure and integrity challenges
Experience in ERP (preferably Oracle)
Experience in Spend Analytics (Sievo preferred) and eSourcing Platform
Experience in continuous improvement through the implementation of best practices (SCM)
Industry / Certifications (Advantageous) :
Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS)
Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification
IACCM, PPM or equivalent certifications (Advantageous)
