SUMMARY

As a member of AARGovernment Programs operational leadership team, the Senior Manager of AviationOperations will provide advice on maintenance management, scheduling,production operations, and related maintenance oversight to planned, new, orexisting government Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) and / or maintenanceprograms.

This position requires detailed knowledge of fixed wing maintenanceoperations across an array of fleet types. The position will directly supportand enable new program stand-up operations by developing and introducing themaintenance approach, plan, and interval for a given program in line withcontract requirements and best commercial practices.

The position reportsdirectly to the Senior Program Manager.

ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists Foreign Militaryin plans and schedules corrective, preventive, predictive, and proactivemaintenance activities utilizing coordination with on-site program leadershipand fielded maintenance personnel.
  • Advise in coordinationwith Supply Chain to ensure the flow of material, supplies, and parts necessaryto conduct maintenance activities.
  • Reviews work orders to provideadvice in establishing priorities to maintain maintenance turn times,production needs, and ultimately aircraft availability requirements.
  • Supports root causeproblem solving and analysis of maintenance costs, activities, and trends.
  • Supports development orrefinement of preventive maintenance tasks and schedules.
  • Supports on-site programleadership with maintenance expertise, planning oversight, and theimplementation of best commercial maintenance practices.
  • Ensures on-site programleadership maintains the necessary tools, resources, and specificationsnecessary to ensure effective, safe, and timely operations.
  • Establishes and maintainseffective work relationships across AAR departments and on-site programleadership; maintains professional competence, knowledge and skill necessaryfor the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.

  • QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this jobsuccessfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of theknowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

  • Travel is required
  • Must be able to obtain UAEwork visa
  • EDUCATIONand / or EXPERIENCE

    Required

  • Bachelor of Arts degree(B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and / or training;
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 15 years of related experience.
  • Experience in advisingforeign militaries on maintenance operations
  • Must have F-16 MaintenanceManagement Experience
  • Preferred

  • Structural Repair experience
  • FAA A&P certification
  • FAA IA certification
