Job Role : Manager - ProjectsAssurance
Principal Functions(Major Areas of Responsibility) :
The Project Assurance team workswith Project Management and Professional Services team tomake sure that the projects managed and delivered by PSPM remainviable in terms of costs and benefits (business assurance),checking that the users'
requirements are being met (userassurance), and that the project is delivering a suitablesolution(specialist or technical assurance).
The team employs some of the foremost technology expertswith competencies to understand projects and how they function todeliver their end product and business benefits.
They must have an empathy with how projects should bestructured and managed. They must understand that ProjectGovernance is a flexible and adaptable method that is intended tobe tailored according to a project'
s size, complexity,importance and risk.
Project assurance haveindividuals who have an instinct for the common problems and riskareas within a project and be able to detect root cause problemsfrom the symptoms.
The Manager / SpecialistProject Assurance performs the project assurance and supportfunction of small and medium programs / projects that have cross -organizational impacts and high dollar values.
The incumbent will have the substantial level of ProjectManagement and consulting expertise.
Thisposition will provide participation and technical expertise toproject teams through determining priorities, work assignments,project planning, and project outcome evaluations.
Duties & Responsibilities :
Provide independent and Objective oversight ofprojects performance
Audit of Technical,Commercial and Safety performance and Critical SuccessFactors
Confirms that the right projectgovernance approach is adopted.
Defines how risk assessment will be carriedout.
Ascertains that the project filing systemis adequate and optimal
Perform checks on theupdated quality log.
Participate in impactanalysis
Participate in Riskanalysis
Participate in the review of stagestatus report
Confirms the completeness and accuracyof plans
Ascertains completeness of theproject
Confirms that exception plan is inline with exception report
Ascertains thatTeam plan is quality checked
Monitorsdeviation from project tolerances
Ascertainsthat quality standards are adhered to in the Project QualityPlan
Confirms that controls areadequate
Reviews quality check requirements inthe Work Package.
Monitors the impact of anychanges on the Business Case
