The role of Sales Support Specialist will be a part of the Robotics and Motion (RM) Division based in Dubai, UAE. ABB is the world leader in Robotics and Motion (RM) offering a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators and robots.

Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry.

In this role, you will support product sales with professional back-end support for low and medium voltage motors. You will be the technical go-

to person for internal and external customers for detailed technical inquiries to ensure front end sales is supported effectively and ABB’s value proposition is strategically formulated.

Tasks :

Your main accountabilities will be the following :

  • Ensure quality offers and fast response time
  • Ensure KP'Is are met eg. time to quote
  • Drive strategic segmentation and support LSU and SM to ensure effective price positioning strategy for profitable growth
  • Be the expert on PowerBI management tool and analyze prices per product line as to ensure controlled price increase
  • Ensure we have professional templates for all product lines and implement a consistent offering touch and feel to the customer
  • Be the go-to person for all business unit sales for technically complex cases and larger projects where product management expertise is required
  • Drive digitalization in the portfolio and support the rollout of the smart-sensor and power train and ABB Ability for MG.
  • E.g. identify customers and opportunities where smart sensor could be offered as a standard feature along with the motor.

  • Consult SM and FES with the right selection / variant codes of motors vs customer specification / project requirements and competition.
  • Support sales to be technically and commercially positioned in the optimal way

  • Establish a closer relationship with all feeder factories especially INMOT and CHMOT to increase export of both factories.
  • Ensure price list are available and effective communication channels of both sales support team for smooth and fast offering

  • Participate in conferences, workshops, lunch and learn sessions and conduct training sessions for customers and key stakeholders
  • Support special project manager in the approved vendor list process
  • Work across multiple geographies with different market dynamics and competitive position
  • Support order handlers and project managers in execution where applicable
  • Requirements :

    Ideally you should have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a minimum 5 years of relevant experience with comprehensive technical understanding of a) Low Voltage Motors, b) Medium Voltage Motors.

    Strong understanding of electrical surface equipment specifically variable frequency drives (including End-user specifications and international standards) is required.

    Strong technical expertise in motors is a big plus. Experience in ABB Factory tools MotSize, Drive Size, Cuusamo is preferred.

    You should be able to take relentless ownership and a dedicated approach, go the extra-mile and show consistent devotion for the mission.
