The main responsibilityof this role is to help your students understand English, speak itand be able to write and read it.
Your duties will range from thepreparation of course work, planning of classes and the marking ofwork handed in. In addition, you will also have to arrangeextracurricular activities and set targets for your pupils.
Typicalduties include : - Organising and delivering classroom lectures tostudents. - Evaluating a students’ classwork andassignments.
Preparing classroom and coursework materials,homework assignments, and handouts. - Recording and maintainaccurate student attendance records and grades.
Classroommanagement. - Developing English lesson plans in line with theNational Curriculum. - Maintaining discipline in the classroom.
Creating a vibrant teaching atmosphere
Qualifications - Candidate must have aBachelor of Education OR Higher Diploma. - Training certificate inthe same field (if any) Knowledge and skills - Theoretical andpractical substantive, didactic and pedagogic knowledge and skills;
Knowledge of the subject matter; - Insight into theschool’s task, organization, and method; - Insight intothe organization;
Empathy and social skills; - Skilled in thetransmission of knowledge and skills; - Effective communicationskills.
