Purchase Ledger Assistant/Admin

Our client is an Event Management Company based in Abu Dhabi, looking to hire a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their team immediately.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or any relevant education.
  • With at least 2 to 3 years of accounting experience in the UAE preferably in Accounts Payable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
  • Sage and Procim accounting system experience is a plus.
  • Dropbox for document filing
  • Responsibilities :

  • Manage the invoices’ submission inbox on Outlook and print off all submitted PL invoices
  • Check each invoice with PO on our system and then code the invoice up for processing
  • If not lined up with PO, reply to submission department and request correction or new PO
  • Follow up on open PO’s when there were issues until resolved
  • Prepare PL processing batches arrange, code, batch, print cover page, etc.
  • Once processed into SAGE, attach bar code to each invoice, scan in batch and file on Dropbox and hard copy in filing cabinet
  • Create new suppliers on PO system
  • Assist with creating PO’s for Project managers where needed or for admin processing
  • Assist in balancing petty cash for projects and checking weekly Petty Cash recons of each project
  • Petty Cash support for projects training and reconciliation
