Encompasses multiple disciplines, including technology architects, solution architects, and enterprise architects. Architects : Are responsible for delivering business value to customers by architecting effective information systems solutions that address the customer’s business problems, needs and opportunities, in a manner consistent with company’s strategic and business goals.
Have knowledge of architectural frameworks, methodologies, and tools and understand how to apply this knowledge to successfully deliver customer projects.
Establish and maintain a professional working relationship at multiple levels both internally and with the customer by understanding the customer’s business context and their unique situation.
Collaborate with both internal and external / industry experts to anticipate customer needs in order to facilitate the definition and development of the solution.
Strong supporters of the professional development framework for their profession and use the knowledge and best practice derived from their professional associations to the benefit of their customers.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure effective and efficient development, delivery, deployment, operation and support of these IS solutions.
Collaborate with the account team to meet or exceed revenue, product, customer satisfaction and market share goals for assigned account(s).
The role is responsible for strategically across the Information Architecture function from both a business and technology perspective, while also applying detailed technical knowledge and experience to ensure that the solutions developed satisfy the business requirements.
Design, develop and govern the Big Data Solution Architecture with Information Management strategies, ensuring appropriate balance between functional, service quality and systems management requirements.
Oversee solution design and development to meet specific new business demand or enhancements and coordinate development of a cohesive technical solution estimate for proposed business needs.
Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of the solution and explore solution alternatives.
Take full ownership and collaborate closely with sales executives to build viable, robust, and performant big data solutions.
Provide expert solution design consultancy and coaching to the agile delivery teams including standards, exception handling and information architectural patterns.
Lead solution design reviews ensuring that delivery teams are following agreed strategic direction and alignment to architectural standards and patterns.
Track technology and new business innovations, determine how they relate to the data strategies and existing standards, platforms and patterns, and lead the work to amend the existing assets or create new assets to reflect changes in the technology landscape.
Responsible from the technical and commercial communications with the customer and presenting the solutions.
Education and Experience Required :
10+ years’ experience in Information & Analytics Technologies
Experience in a services / consulting company is essential
Extensive experience in analytics / BI system architectures and design including technical leadership
Advanced skills in design of BI solutions and Data Models
Knowledge of data flow and modelling best practises.
Bridging the gap between Functional and Technical teams especially in an agile development environment
Experience in architecting and maintaining big data systems and technologies such as : Business Intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, Qlik, SAP BO etc.
Proven experience in developing Big Data solutions in Hadoop Ecosystem (Cloudera, Hortonworks etc.) using Apache Kafka, Flume, Sqoop, Apache Atlas, Hive, Impala, HDFS, HBase and SparkMajor vendor big data & enterprise analytics information platforms such asOracle Exadata, Teradata, Vertica, Greenplum, SAP Hana etc.
Advanced analytics tools such as data science platformsData integration tools such as ODI, Informatica, Apache Kafka
Knowledge and Skills :
Demonstrable experience of which at least two years should be at a supervisory level related to Information & Analytics architecture.
Experience in large corporate and multi-cultural environments would be advantageous.
