The EP Training Instructor is responsible for ensuring the implementation and conduction of the Barakah Onsite Emergency Preparedness Training Program, while ensuring alignment with the Offsite trainings and providing maintenance of the program as appropriate.
Plans and Procedures
Maintains the Nawah Emergency Preparedness Training Program Manual and other documentation governing the planning, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of emergency preparedness training.
Emergency Response Facilities and Equipment
Ensures the availability of facilities (includes both classrooms and emergency response facilities), equipment, and communications systems required to support emergency preparedness-
related training activities.
Ensures that sufficient simulator time is scheduled to support emergency preparedness-related training activities, as appropriate.
Planning, Monitoring, and Reporting
Enters training-related findings and opportunities for improvement into a formal corrective action program, and tracks those items to completion.
Emergency Preparedness Training
Participates in the development / revision and delivery of the emergency preparedness training program, as appropriate.
Develops and maintains the training matrices for personnel assigned to the Nawah emergency response organization and other individuals requiring emergency preparedness-related training.
Develops and maintains the emergency preparedness training program database.
Participates in training to attain and maintain proficiency in the development / revision and delivery of the emergency preparedness training program, as appropriate.
Maintains the Emergency Plan Training Program.
Provides input to the department’s budget, as requested.
Training and Qualifications
Develops the appropriate training plans, training materials, and awareness sessions to ensure that team members receive the necessary training and skills required for their development.
Keeps current with emergency preparedness-related best practices and updates colleagues, as appropriate.
Successfully completes all required initial and refresher training courses and requirements in order to attain and maintain the required qualifications and certifications in areas of specialization.
Facilitates communication both internally and externally in order to build and nurture mutually beneficial working relationships.
Quality Assurance (QA)
Is fully aware of, and follows, all QA policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure QA compliance in all aspects of work.
Ensures that all work carried out is of the highest standards of safety and quality, and in compliance with the department-
and company-wide QA program, in order to effectively support safe and reliable plant operation.
Supports continuous learning and application of industry best practices in order to maintain the highest quality of procurement workmanship.
Promptly reports quality related issues or deficiencies regarding emergency preparedness-related activities to line management.

B.S., Engineering or other physical science discipline generally associated with power plant operations
Excellent written and verbal skills
4 years’ experience in Nuclear Emergency Preparedness, or Equivalent Experience as an Instructor / trainer.
Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng), or Certified Health Physicist (CHP)
Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) who has operated PWR
