Looking for FinancialController for a 4* Pre-opening hotel. About the Role : Reportingto General Manager, responsible to oversee allfinancial activities for the company.
This includes responsibilityfor the functions of Finance as per the Finance cycle. It alsoinvolves Policy Administration, Government Liaising, and Recordskeeping of company administration.
Sets up and maintains a systemof internal controls which will provide the most effective controlof the assets and revenue of the hotel.
This includes the responsibility for seeing that properpermits and licenses are obtained for such areas as importations,currency transfers, etc.
Ensures the safekeeping and updating ofall leases and contracts and all other legal records and documentswhich may affect financial status of the hotel.
Ensures that localtax matters, including both income and other taxes, are properlyhandled. This includes the responsibility for the proper deductionsand remittances of all payroll taxes where applicable.
Approves allcash disbursements. Before denoting approval, the Controller shouldensure that all disbursements are properly documented and executed.
Approves all allowances and adjustments and ensure that they aresubsequently approved by the Hotel Manager. Conducts the monthlyphysical count and valuation of all food, beverage and operatingsupplies inventories and the half yearly physical count andvaluation of all operating equipment inventories.
Ensures that,subject to the availability of funds, all necessary reserves, suchas vacation of employees, furniture and equipment,employees’ indemnity, etc.
are adequately maintained.Assists in preparing, in conjunction with the other departmentheads and the General Manager, both the annual and revised capitalbudget and profit budget in the required forma.
In addition to thepreparation, the Financial Controller is responsible for reportingthe actual results as compared with the profit budget.
Responsiblefor maintaining adequate records to reflect the comparison of theactual expenditures for operating equipment and furniture andequipment replacements with the annual budgeted amounts.
