This position is responsible to provide electricalservices, maintain, install and repair electrical wiring such as equipment, andfixtures.
Responsible to carry out the maintenance of the panel boards, MDB’sand related Electrical works. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevantcodes.
May install or service lights, inte systems, or electrical controlsystems. The responsibilities expected to observe safe working practice incarrying out the required duties and ensure that instruction specifiedby Chief Engineer / Engineering Supervisor which is always in linewith Millennium Hotels & Resorts standards and according to professionaland safe engineering principle.
Participates in energy conservations through propercontrol of operation schedule.
Carry out proper scheduled preventive maintenanceto reduce the breakdowns and maintenance costs.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, andponents,using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown andcorrect the problem.
Maintains clean work environment at all electricalrooms, transformer rooms, Electrical workshops and ensure proper safetystandards are maintained.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers,inspect electrical systems, equipment, andponents to identify hazards,defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensurepliance withcodes.
Test electrical systems and continuity ofcircuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devicessuch as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensurepatibility andsafety of system.
Attends the guestplaints in timely mannerwithout hindering the guest satisfaction.
Plan layout and installation ofelectrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications.
Direct and train workers to install,maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
Prepare sketches or follow blueprints todetermine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance tobuilding and safety codes.
Use a variety of tools and equipment suchas power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testingequipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps.
Install ground leads and connect powercables to equipment, such as motors.
Perform business management duties suchas maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering supplies andequipment and advise management on whether continued operation of equipmentcould be hazardous.
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, andfixtures, construct and fabricate parts using hand tools and power tools.
Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofsto install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
Place conduit (pipes or tubing) insidedesignated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulatedwires or cables through the conduit toplete circuits between boxes.
Fasten small metal or plastic boxes to wallsto house electrical switches or outlets.
Perform physically demanding tasks, suchas digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy objects.
Provide preliminary sketches and costestimates for materials and services.
Assist during emergencies by operatingfloodlights and generators, placing flares, and driving needed vehicles.
Ensure proper safety standards are maintained andpay attention to detail in guest related issues and requests to eliminate anymishaps.
Minimum 3 years’ Experience with provenknowledge in trouble shooting and repairing of A / C and Refrigeration system inHotel standard or experienced in Facilities Managementpanies.
A goodmand of English and ability tofind fault and rectify systems and having good knowledge BMS Operation will beadded advantage.
Have a High School, Degree or Diplomaqualification in Electrical / Mechanical Engineeringor its equivalent.
